I think it's because the boiling water evaporates much more quickly than the colder water, and the process of turning from liquid to gas uses up energy which it gets from the water, making it get cold very quickly.

Hmmm... that could be useful... possibly... Not sure why they all seem to be crammed into the top half of the screen, with the bottom half(ish) blank. Looking at the code for the page it suggests they should be taking up 48% of the screen depth. Thought it might be an Opera think, but it's the same ...

It's nearly as bad (but not quite) as having us believe that just because 25 December has passed that Christmas is over! In fact, that's when it begins! It doesn't finish until 6 January or 2 February dep...

I would like to have listened to Kings, but we had our Crib Service this afternoon, followed closely by the choir singing carols at a local hotel, and now time to recuperate before midnight mass later!
