Re: Feedback wanted
That's where DVP made the difference. They has lots of different types of side puzzles as well as the main story puzzles. Only problem is I came accross DVP TOTALY by accident in my local Morrisons. I was just after something to take on holiday at the time and just stumbled upon it. Sorry if that is...

Re: Passing the time
Now this one is amazing. http://uk.akinator.com/ Basically, it's the twenty questions game against the computer. Think of someone (real or fictional) and it will try to guess who it is. And it's really, really, really good. I mean it. It took me about ten goes to come up with one it didn't guess - ...

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Guess you will cope with all that rather better than some of the other poor innocents arrivingfor the first time..... To be frank, I have seen some of them. I really don't know how to put this across in a sufficiently PC way but "lambs to the slau**ter" really features strongly in my thinking. Don'...

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Yesterday I did mostly go out with my HOG Chapter (Google "Lindum Colonia", it's quite a good web site really) to Castle Howard, which was nice. On the way back the sump plug fell out of the engine (that's the bit that you take out to drain all the oil out of the engine). I nearly crashed coz of all...
Re: 2011 Meet
I can state categorically that all the cakes and crispy things were completely yummy.
Big thanks to The Bunny for organising a top day out in a very nice part of the country with plenty of interesting things to see and do. We even managed to solve the Meta!!
Cheers. BB.

Many years ago I was in Hong Kong for a while and was told most reliably that the litteral translation for "Exhaust Pipe" is "Death Gas Orifice".Bunnylump wrote:BTW did you know that the literal translation from Chinese for the word for record is "singing slice"?

LAT, looks like I might be dragging you round and making you help me make a puzzle trail after all... Hmm. Thing is, if it's nice-ish weather I'm most likely to turn up on the bike. Now. I did do a treasure hunt type thingy on my bike once. Came last. Kind of discovered it's tricky riding...

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
This morning they said that everywhere in the country except Scotland (sorry Tricia!) would be having glorious sunshine and heat YES. Spent most of the day replacing the rear suspension on my daughters "NEW" car (a fairly skanky 2000 Ford KA). Hummph. WAY WAY WAY tooooooo HOT. Slipping spanners, sk...
Re: 2011 Meet
6th August, I'm in. It's in my diary and everything. I really don't mind if there is some sort of "activity" or if it is just a pub lunch. I last turned out on DVP meet No 1 at Bletchley and there are so many of you I would like to meet again and there are so many of you I would like to meet for the...

It rained all day solid from mid-day yesterday here in the Lincolnshire flatlands. The worst aspect of the whole day was the cats. All 4 of them retreated to the conservatory so they could at least feel they were sort of outside-ish. But by late afternoon thay had all had enough sleep and were getti...
