Re: Quiztastic

I'm worried that anyone wouldn't know the answer to number 9. :D Well, OK, if you were born in 1970 or later perhaps not ...

They don't write them like that any more. *sigh*

Re: The New Future of Puzzlebrains...

Sorry - I did mean that Scurra's promotion efforts has reached me!

Not sure I can wangle a promotion at work - I'll have to ask the boss (which would be me!).

Not sure how 2016 is going to pan out yet. Just trying to keep strong at the moment.

Re: The New Future of Puzzlebrains...

Well, I got 'promoted at' yesterday and have signed up! I hope this is a success for you and it all works out after all your hard work. 2015 has been the worst year of my life and I've had no energy to engage with the outside world much. Some puzzles may be just what I need to get the mojo flowing a...

Re: Can anyone help me create a puzzle?

After I expounded at length about the sort of clues we might use (without coming up with a puzzle myself), Ian said he had an idea how to approach it. There's no sign of the finished puzzle yet, so any other suggestions would still be welcomed! As it happens, we've decided to postpone the treasure h...

Can anyone help me create a puzzle?

This seems like a good place to ask :-) I am part of a team creating a treasure hunt for my drama society. Our idea is that we get them to construct their own treasure map throughout the hunt, so that they end up with an island with a number of features on it, e.g. river, mountains, waterfall, canni...

Hello!

Just popping in to say hello to everyone. Hope you are all well and are having a great summer. I'm busy as ever. I've just finished our big outdoor production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and am trying to get to grips with the washing (I did the costumes!). It was a bitter sweet...

Re: How do I change my password?

Thanks. I only wanted to change it because I couldn't log in, so requested a new password. Of course the automatic ones aren't memorable!

I'll keep the email handy so I can cut and paste it until you let us know of further developments.

How do I change my password?

I'm looking in User Control Panel and can't see anything! But then I am ill (which is a useful excuse for a lot of things!!!).

Re: Happy Birthday

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes. I did indeed keep to my name this year. I directed this year's panto, so have been front of house for most of the time, except Saturday evening when I snuck on and joined in one of the song and dance numbers - much to the surprise and consternation of some o...

Happy new year from me too.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas break. I even found time to make some progress on my calendar.

Back to making panto costumes now :D

Re: Today I've mostly bin...

... auditioning for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. A bit of a pig's ear, certainly not up to my usual standard, but given I only had three days to prepare a tricky song, I was also quite pleased with the way it went too! Home for 20 mins to pick up all the stuff I need for panto reh...

Then unpacking the mega parcels of fabric for panto costumes.

Well, it's MY idea of a good day :D

Re: Hi all

Are you trying to learn "Dirty Old Man"?! I don't envy you. ( A Funny Thing... is easily my favourite Sondheim show.) If you played Madame Defarge, then Domina wouldn't be much of a stretch. Or, possibly, typecasting. :D Yes, Domina. At my age, hardly Philia(!), although if I was any good at dancin...

Hi all

What the Dickens landed on my doormat this morning and I wondered how you all are. I've been so busy this year, it's not true! My mother-in-law had two heart attacks in August. She is back home now and seems to be OK (she was 91 in September - nothing keeps her down!), but it was a worrying time. It...

Venturing out for the first time since the snow and ice (who said the I word????). Well, it was last night for dinner with the girls, but hey. Seriously, I'm so nervous about navigating snowy roads and pavements after coming off worse in my encounter with ice in 2010, I was scared about walking down...

Having emerged from the mayhem and chaos that has been my life for the last few months :D unfortunately I can't do 20th April (believe it or not, I'm doing costumes for the next play and that is the big technical weekend), nor can I do anything in May, having just booked a holiday in celebration of ...
