But then, maybe this is an irrelevant question if I have misunderstood what I will need to do!

Yes we had about 5 minutes of gentle sky water.

Our grass isn't even toe high! In fact it isn't grass. Tiny lengths of straw is a better description.

Oh our garden is also really struggling. I am trying to save a few shrubs by using eg water when running the tap to get hot water and filling a bowl to donate to certain plants.

Glad you got home OK. Wouldn't mind some of that cold and damp though!

Great photo. We were out yesterday evening going to the theatre and I wasn't sure I wanted to wander into a theatre carrying a colander but there were some people outside with them! Best notice I saw yesterday was from the National Trust apologising that their sundials (with photos of a few of them)...

I was at Wimbledon on Tuesday. We counted the minutes to when the sun finally went low enough to leave us in the shade. But the tennis was good. How they did it in that heat!

Watched an old episode of Midsomer Murders last night and noticed that one of the policemen's car numberplate ended AHA. Made me smile!
