Mr and Mrs "Fernando"

Happy New Year to you all. I have finally managed to get a minute to print the new puzzles and look at them. We have had a busy couple of weeks with Christmas and a wedding.

I was going to put a picture of the new Mr and Mrs "Fernando" in but I can't work out how to post a picture on here.

I have passed on your greetings. Fernando was working on his birthday until 8pm, so we just celebrated with a Chinese takeaway, but the previous day his girlfriend treated him to dinner in Birmingham at Marco Pierre White's restaurant, so he was feeling quite spoiled by the end of two days of birthd...

I had two copies for Christmas too, but I never seem to have time to puzzle these days, so only a couple of the introductory ones have been looked at.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I'm sure there has been a mistake. I can't possibly be 50! We had a lovely holiday and returned home to find the little monsters hadn't destroyed the house in our absence.

.....at the hospital with Fernando for chemo. The results of the scan he had on Wednesday have come back pretty much clear, so it looks like the chemo is working.

Don't worry Kathlyn, it will be a while before she sets off in your direction!

I haven't seen it. I was going to watch on catch up. He is still with the BAS, but was booked on a ship bound for the Caribbean last I heard. He would like to go back to Antarctica though

You should tell your friend how beautiful they were and how well they lasted, and make a joke about how you even managed to keep them away from the cats, because you wouldn't have wanted such lovely flowers to finish Moggy off.

....to see Eye in the Sky tonight. Really enjoyed the film, one of the best I have seen for a while.

House got cleaned. No choice but to do it today Bunnylump, as I didn't get it finished yesterday. We were away at the weekend, so I was rather behind. The little elephant did a big pile of ironing for me, and helped with the cleaning.

Cleaning the house! My sister in law has invited herself to stay for a few days, and is arriving this afternoon. My intention was to be ready yesterday, but that didn't happen.
Going out for dinner with them tonight.

It wasn't that cold here yesterday. Some of Friday's snow is still lying, but it was raining when we came back from our walk, and the mud was definitely slippery, and the puddles weren't frozen.
