Hare and Hounds - 12th September

Hi all, my work runs a treasure hunt twice a year, and the next one is on the 12th September. Basic premise is a pub crawl around the City of London, however you have to answer cryptic clues to get to the next pub, and there is a treasure hunt of sorts along the way. Entry is £4 a persion, with all ...

Re: 2014 meet (dare I mention it?)

I tried to post on this a couple of weeks back, but looks like it didnt post. I have done two of these, one as a family day out and once in the halloween competition. Quite good fun, clues arent too far reaching but still enough of a challenge to make it fun. It does say on some of them that its sui...

Re: London Underground Treasure Hunt

worst thing was, we came 5th!

basically because teams with two players got 130 bonus points. We scored 250 with no bonus, and the winners got 320.

not that I'm bitter...

Hint Hunt

Last night I went to Hint Hunt, which is basically a real life 'room escape' puzzle. We escaped with just under 3 minutes to spare. Very enjoyable, and would thoroughly recommend.

Re: The anti whinge thread

looks like St Albans is the place to go. I was there at the weekend orienteering, and had lunch at Loch Fyne. Our awiter was top notch, and spent loads of time talking to my son about the different types of fish in the restaurant, and wangled a piece of grilled Hake instead of the usual salmon for h...

Work Puzzle Part 2 - A request

Following on from last years 'interesting' work puzzle, I've been tasked with writing some for this year.

The theme is eggs.

I've got something on teh go using Aurasma, but if anyone has any egg related puzzles/quizes they can send me, it'd be much appreciated

cheers

DASH 5

Dash5 (Different Area—Same Hunt) is usually a puzzle hunt that's held in the States, but the next one is coming to London on the 25th May this year.

Registration hasn't opened yet, but is anyone likely to be around for it?

Re: Christmas surprise

X Wings... On a simple basis you have the following possibilities in some cells, either 1 or 2. I've not included other numbers 1,2| | |1,2 1 1,2 1,2 You know that the top left has to be either 1 or 2. The same for all the other corners. That means that nothing else in the rows or columns can be a 1...

News from Cisra:

The Group 1 puzzles will be released at 12:00 AEST (02:00 GMT) on Monday, 24 September, one week before Puzzle Week.

I've forgotten the password we usually use, else I'd have set us up.
