Re: Whodunnit trail
Went to Edinburgh, admired the view from the castle, walked the royal mile, and was very underwhelmed by the Scottish Parliament. (What was the architect thinking?) Went for a lovely meal this evening at a tiny restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

Re: Things to see in......
Sounds like you are lucky to remember Edinburgh at all!
My only previous trip to Edinburgh was for less than an hour. I got off a train, rushed to C and A for a strapless bra and hopped on a coach. I didn't actually see any of the city.

This weekend we are going to see the prodigal son and in two weeks we are going to a concert, at the SSE Hydro, tickets courtesy of SSE with whom my husband does a lot of work.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
We went to Cornwall and I spent the week in Trelisk hospital. We decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and went back for a fortnight, but it rained every single day. Some days the ducks walked down the path past our cottage and some days they swam down the footpath. Not been back since. It's a...

The only seaside town I am familiar with is Eastbourne, where my husband was brought up. Full of retirees of course, but having school age nieces still living there I am more aware of all the family activities going on in the town. It's not so far from London that a day trip is out of the question, ...

When I look at it now it just says attachment with a red cross in a box, but yesterday there was a picture and it said "What I did on my holidays" or something like that.

The microwave is apparently between two notes, so it hums at a quartertone (almost) K was singing along and trying to encourage it to sing in tune I think!

She had a great day thanks. We took her for some waterskiing lessons, that she knew nothing about, and she took to it like a duck to water. (except that ducks don't waterski)
