Re: Today I've mostly bin...

This was actually the other week, but... my Grandaughter wanted to make an Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea. Both girls made all sorts of things to fit with the theme, and made cakes and Cheshire cat pizzas for lunch too. . Here are a few pics. Sorry, not allowed to show any with the children in, b...

Re: Rhyme game

Jeez, I knew I should have written down my intended answer, and now have no idea. So that will do just fine. Sorry, head all over the place. Have just (yesterday) had a knee op under general anaesthetic, feeling pretty rubbish, and D has just tested positive for covid. So looking forward to th...

Re: Sports Day

... so it all went really well. They all loved the challenges. Apparently one guy (the one who got LAT''s challenge) got close to being caught out, so he employed the tactic of throwing in a lot of red herrings and acting strangely all day. He was apparently tapping people on a specific shoulder, or...

Re: Sports Day

Well, it all seems to be going well so far. "Challenge bot" has been busy this morning! Dibble made me change my WhatsApp picture to a games logo he has made - which seems to be four sisters represented as pilchards swimming in tomato sauce. Of course it was.

Re: Sports Day

I actually think I'm going to use all of these, so thank you all very much. :D I am adding a few more (I need 9 in total, one which needs to be for an 8 year old!) So the 8 year old is getting "Hiccup at least 10 times," and my other ideas are : "Use at least three old-fashioned exclamations, e.g. "...

Sports Day

OK so my silly son, Dibble, is organising a "sports day" for his girlfriend's family and has asked for some input. Apparently they are organising all kinds of "events" such as "Going down a slip and slide on an inflatable crocodile, armed with a litter picker, picking up as many potatoes as possible...

Re: A cryptic cipher

I think it's a brilliant cipher. Just a shame I'm not a brilliant decipherer. I've never heard of it before - which, considering the amount of research I did for that puzzle with all the animals in, is surprising!

Yay finally! Well done!
But once you had the method sorted out, it really was a lot simpler than you made it at first, wasn't it Lumpybum?

Re: A cryptic cipher

Finally!!! I originally thought I was using the stated grid and was trying to write the letters in the down columns of those numbers that you gave. They obviously didn't work, so I was trying to add in various key words. When I was finally on the right actual crossword , I wrote them in left t...
