Logging out

#1 Post by giraffe » Sun Feb 06, 2011 3:25 pm

I've logged into the .com site on my laptop and told it to remember me. Now I can't log out. What do I do?

That seems to be 3 who cant get in - and one who cant get out. Send Scurra a PM- tell him the important things, which browser (Internet explorer- [and which version if you know], firefox, etc) let him know if it was a temporary thing and let him know if your problem is resolved. Maybe your internet provider is a factor too, tell him who you use. EG I have virgin broadband but you might have BT, talk talk or whoever. That might help too. Also tell him which version of windows you are using. I have windows 7, you might have xp, vista, or an earlier version. The more info he has from each of you the bigger the picture he will see.

Interestingly I can get in on my work computer which has IE8 (and which I currently have at home after my trip) but can't log in from my own laptop which has IE7. On this one, pressing the LOGIN button does nothing. :(

Yes, it seems that the same problem applies with IE6 as well. :( (The Log-in button doesn't seem to do anything.)
I am trying to work out what needs to be adjusted to make it respond.

Ah, that's why I couldn't log in from work - I'd just assumed it wasn't activated! No probs from here, but I used Firefox at home. Work uses some horrendously old version of IE

Fingers crossed - I think it may be fixed!
You will notice that the login area has moved from the top right corner to just between the logo and the menu - and it's now all on one single line. This may cause different problems (especially if you have a very small screen...)

Obviously please drop me a line if you are still having trouble - a small sample size doesn't prove anything, sadly :D

I still can't log out. (Which is less of a problem than being locked out)

Just to say everything works fine on a Mac with Safari 5.0.3 and OS X 10.6.6.

I haven't tried it on my laptop yet (but that is ancient and still running XP).

I'm now able to log in at least (thank you Uncle Scurra)... just got to find my password again and see if I can get the puzzles to open. I might stand a fighting chance of being able to SEE them... :)

I logged out (thanks Scurra) and then couldn't work out how to log in again as it had changed since I did it the first time. It didn't tell me where to put my name and password. Got back in eventually.
