printing pdfs
Is anyone else not able to download the puzzles from the other site? I can SEE them now (so I can copy and paste them into word and enlarge them that way) but when I click the pdf file button it comes up with a message saying something about "unable to download from site...."
I've tried this on my pc and the craptop so it's not that.

Re: printing pdfs
Well I managed to print one out, but I didn't try to download it so can't really comment on that.
Re: printing pdfs
I don't understand the term download. Lally has printed them out, so she has been able to do something. is that the same as downloading?

I mean that when I click on the pdf file icon to save a copy, it won't do it.

Yes, clicking the pdf icon didn't do anything for me. but right clicking the page and select all, then right click to copy worked so that I could paste it into another document.

Re: printing pdfs
I didn't have any problems downloading them at work (I don't print them - that would be a dead giveaway that I wasn't working).
They aren't, however, pdfs. They tend to be either jpegs or png files from what I remember.
Possibly try right clicking and 'save image as'?

Re: printing pdfs
In the top-right of each page there is a little icon for pdf, print and email.
Email will take you to a form which you can use to email someone (else) a link to the puzzle page. (Whether they will be able to see it without being registered is another matter...)
Print is sort of understandable, I would think.
In Internet Explorer, pressing the pdf button gives me a blank page. If I right-click (the little pdf icon) and choose "Open in a new tab" (or window) then the pdf is generated in the new view and I can use the pdf toolbar to save a copy of the file.
In Firefox, pressing the pdf button gives me a new window automatically with the pdf displayed, with toolbars for saving the file (as well as printing, etc).
In Opera too, I get the pdf shown automatically in a new window with toolbars.
In Chrome I get the pdf displayed, but no toolbars - there is a widget for resizing and scrolling options, but I didn't investigate too much whether you can switch any other toolbar items on. A simple right-click on the pdf window and "Save As" meant I was able to save a pdf file OK.

I did just as you said but mine said "Open Link in new window" when I right clicked.
