Trouble getting on to the forum

#1 Post by pebbles » Sun Mar 20, 2011 12:39 am

If I use Puzzlebrains.co.uk it redirects me to Puzzlebrains.com. I can now only get on to the forum from an email link. My husband tried and got the same result.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that you need:

/forum

on the end of puzzlebrains.co.uk

I've got a specific thread in my favourites so after being redirected I simply clicked that instead and I was straight onto the forum.

Hope you get back in to see this ;)

There's a thread on it under Announcements. http://www.puzzlebrains.co.uk/forum/vie ... f=9&t=1453

I've been able to log on with my normal link but I'm having trouble staying logged on when I try to go to Watching the Detectives or changing to another topic.

I have been trying to access the older puzzles. The announcements page tells you to go to http://www.puzzlebrains.co.uk/archive.php

But that logs me out and then takes me to the new site, which doesn't have the puzzles. The announcement seems to indicate that this will work before they are on the new site.

I've just tried that link from your post Giraffe. I got straight into the older puzzles.

Try again and let us know what happens please.

David, I hadnt actually tried to get into the puzzles when I made the previous post. Giraffe is correct. They aren't accessible.

Another one on the list of things to do.

OK, redirection has been temporarily turned off.

All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

You're Welcome

You're back - and to prove it.... you're here ;) So the message made sense and got through.

Well, that cheered me up. I must be a younger member then...

In that case, I must be an 'older member', despite being younger than you! I know who he's misquoting.

Of course I'm not really <that age>. I only said that to wind you all up. I'm actually a whippersnapper.

I'm lost and baffled. But usually the stuff that I'm 'too young to know' I often do, while the current things I'm clueless on. This one, however, I seem to be doing the right way round at least, even if I don't have a clue what's going on!

well despite being several years older than MBH I have no idea what he is talking about. :? Maybe I'm too old rather than too young. :(

"I've arrived - and to prove it, I'm here" is the original phrase, a catchphrase of Max Bygraves.
As it comes from a 1950s radio show, I must have picked it up from my parents.
