The Eurovision thread is showing as having unread posts (ie orange blob) and so is the whole general topic on the index page, and I can't get it to clear. I've even read about the 2009 Eurovision contest!

Thank you! That's cleared it. Cenwulf must have broken it.

Seems ok now. I could read Cenwulf's post and can now read Scurra's, but it was saying there was an unread one of Bunny's that wasn't there. It's still not there, but the thread is not saying unread any longer.

Yes, I think it was Bummy who actually broke the thread, but I won't tell her if you won't.

Flipping heck, I've been called some things in my time, but that really is a first.

Sorry about that. I deleted a post (which, after consideration, I decided sounded churlish). I didn't realise that would break the thread!! :o

Wow, my eyesight must really be going! Although at least I didn't post the same message twice. :)

Should've gone to Specsavers? Then you could look like this.... :ugeek:

Grrrr...

This new laptop keeps on doing that. It's something to do with the sensitivity of the clicky button thingy.

I take it you don't touch type then, Scurra? The thing I'm most likely to do is to have my gomhrtd om yjr etpmh [;svr
8-)

I have a mouse plugged into my laptop, I can't get on with the clicky zone.

Hmmm. There definitely seems to be something odd happening with the "new posts" and "your posts" buttons. I am trying to find out whether it is a bug or whether someone has tried to get into the system...

OK here's another question - a while ago LAT asked why the find new member drop down list had stopped working. Has that got a problem caused by hacking as well? :?

I'm just tripping ove this one now. I'm tricking it into letting me onto the indvidual threads by right-clicking and 'copying shortcut' to then paster into the address bar (Sneaky - LOL)

Good luck finding out what's gone on - I'll be interested in the result.

To be honest, I don't see the point of using it. All the threads with new posts show up as orange anyway...

That presupposes you don't have any unread threads from previous visits.

Well, all I do is to click on things which are orange, if I'm not interested in them right then once I've clicked on them they are no longer highlighted.

But sometimes you don't want to read everything, but want to read new things. I leave the puzzle threads orange until I get to that puzzle.
