Don't know, I use Google chrome but I find for some reason I ALWAYS have to long in twice. I log in once, click "puzzles", click on one of the puzzles in the list and then get sent back to the login page again.

The reason I stopped using internet explorer was because it did all sorts of annoying things like make the scrolly mouse doofer keep scrolling up the page in stages even after I'd stopped scrolling. (Did that make ANY sense??)

I think you're creating new bits of technical equipment Sis, but yes - that was understandable.

I'm sticking with Firefox for my browser, I don't get much trouble with that :)

"A program" unfortunately isn't very helpful, Tricia. It could be any number of things, although I checked the site myself with IE9 and it worked OK for me, which also isn't very helpful in figuring it out.

As for the Bunny's problem - well, I think the site just recognises the troublemakers and tries to keep them out automatically. Shame it doesn't seem to work on here...

Totally off topic, but I managed to "fix" my mum's computer yesterday. She phoned me up and said her margins were stuck at 7.5 on the ruler thingy at the top of the screen in her word processing bit. Eventually managed to track it down to her having clicked the centre alignment button, which she didn't know was there!

Tricia are your setting too sensitive on something? Like does your anti virus programme think it's dodgy?

Well, it must be fairly dodgy. Look who made it!

My husband had immense problems with his laptop after he started using IE9. In the end he took it to a repair shop and after much trial and error they realised there was a conflict with his graphics accelerator ( if I remember the details correctly :? ). Basically though he sometimes couldn't get onto the internet at all and at other times it was really slow. The computer bod ticked some box or other and since then it has been working fine.
I decided to delay installing IE9. In fact I think I'm still on 7

I'm having problems with my iMac. It will often hang for no reason when I'm surfing the net.

More scary is the online game I play that will hang and the computer makes a horrible banshee-like screaming noise at me! (Yes, I know - it means I should be working instead :D )

I rang the Apple helpline and the chap gave me a list of housekeeping stuff (clearing the cache etc etc), which is very useful because I was sure I needed to do stuff like on the PC but couldn't find any info on exactly what anywhere). I then had the bright idea of looking in the game's help section, which suggested there wasn't enough memory allocated to Java. So I followed their (simple) instructions, and everything seemed to be OK.

Until yesterday - when Facebook and ebay both hung and the game screamed at me again. Ho hum!

Otherwise I love my iMac and Word 2011 is certainly a lot more stable than the version I was using on my PC.
