Up in the top right hand corner, it tells you the time and the date. On my computer, the time is off by an hour. Is the happening with anyone elses only I keep getting confused and wondering where the day has gone. :?

No, everyone has the same problem (I think!)
If you look, you will see a note just below there which says "All times are UTC | DST". UTC stands for Universal Time Constant, which is another way of saying GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) - which is what we use in the UK. DST stands for Daylight Saving Time, which in the UK we call BST (British Summer Time). DST finished at the end of October, but for some reason the system didn't automatically adjust it, even though I have changed all the settings on here that ought to do so. I think the problem may be with the "host" computers (where this site is actually located) which haven't updated properly, but I'm not sure.

I think it's an individual user setting, not a global one. If you Go to "User Control Panel" in the top menu, and select "Board Preferences" from the left pane, you get various options.
Second from bottom is the Daylight Savings Time option which you can turn off and submit the changes. It should then show you the real time.

Well that's &$**^% stupid, isn't it? :D
Actually, I'd forgotten that setting was there - I think I assumed that by choosing "yes" it meant that it would only be applied when it applied (if you see what I mean.)

See, this is why you need the experts around

I shall look for the thread called Time and find it there. Or I'll ask you Sparkout. ;)

I just won't change it and leave it how it is now! I never notice the time on this website anyway so there's not really much point in me changing it.

And again - just to remind people.
Go into your User Control Panel, choose "Board Preferences" and click the box that says "NO" to Summer Time.

Stuff that - the time is correct on mine, for the first time in 6 months or so. There are only so many clocks I can be bothered resetting, and this isn't one of them. It's right 50% of the time, that's good enough for me!

Um, if it's correct for the first time in 6 months, then you probably didn't change it back in March. So it will already be set to NO. :)
