Well I'm impressed that you had any idea where to start!!

Found it - after many times of wondering where to start and putting it to one side- just had another look and thought 'what about.......?' and found the answer :D

if the dancing penguin has got the sledge hammer, it was probably borrowed from the bunny :D I wonder who gets a turn with it next :D

This must be one of those things for people who can take big leaps. I'm 1/2 way there, decided to jump and fell flat on my face. ouch!

For days now I have kept looking at this one and putting it back down - can anyone give me a gentle nudge?

Thanks for you help LAT - it's so weird that once on the right track all the pieces fall into place. I've only got two more puzzles to go now and while on one hand I'm trying hard to complete them, in a perverse kind of way I don't want to finish as i'm enjoying them too much - is this normal?????

No, I know exactly what you mean. It's like coming to the end of a long book that you've really enjoyed. A sort of "bereft" feeling, and very loose-endish.

There are all the outer puzzles though, or have you already done those? And Puzzletown and Tally Ho too.

No, I haven't started either yet, so they should keep me going until the second issue of PB comes out

Perfectly normal :D

Thats why most of us have been hanging around the DVP site for the past 18 months. We still have the withdrawal symptoms.

I must say, I haven't enjoyed a 'puzzle book' as much as this one since dvp and I had that same sense of anticipation when waiting for the post to arrive as I used to when I had my dvp subscription

This isn't the right place, but I have to reply, and say that I unfortunately only discovered DVP 2 months before its demise, so I don't have the same history of anticipation and the same withdrawal symptoms, but that I have never, ever had the same buzz from a periodical publication as I have from Puzzlebrains. It's like MIT/CiSRA season for me.

Which thread ever stays in its title form ;)

Re CISRA. Watch out team YOPE. Next year I'm going to organise this site into teams!! I tried it on my own last year and while I was never going to be any further than very near the bottom I thoroughly enjoyed it.
