An I the only one who can't manage to find a word on this thing? 4 days without a plea for help, I must be. I'll just sit in y corner and mumble to myself for a while and something is sure to develop.*

*most probably insanity.

No you are not the only one who hasn't done this one. I have no idea how to even start it

well, I was getting nowhere, so took a break from this. Wonder how long before I give up on the other puzzles I'm working on and come back!

I have just started this one (again) and I didn't know how to do it. So giraffe told me to look at her hint from earlier. I've tried something similar to that and its starting to look at bit promising so I'll carry on.

And - every - single - one - of - them - is - right!
I seem to have tried nine-and-sixty ways of trying to get something which makes sense out of this puzzle, but every single one of them seems to be wrong.
On another thread, MBH wrote:Hi Humph - nice to have you back
Well, Barry, I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue what to do with this. It's the only one where I can't seem to get anywhere, despite trying lots of possibilities.

Cenwulf, I've pm'd you.

EDIT

OOps I just saw LAT has already pm'd you. You can now consider yourself comprehensively pm'd.

Err. I have PMd as well. This probably suggests the collective for multiple PMs should be a "bombardment"?

Cheers. BB.

I'd love to know what everyone told you, Cenwulf. You've probably got so many different pieces of information that we've now solved it for you! Well, either that or we've totally confused you!

Thanks for the PM tips, but I wonder if the Scurralous has slipped up with a couple, as what I get from them seems to be a bit out. Are these Errer errors, or have I made a mistake?

Here's a clue: is there an entry on the Errata page for this one?

with thanks to LAT for her advice, I've finally finished my 7th puzzle! Never thought I'd manage it when I was getting gibberish for that second line, but she pointed out that I really can't count (something I'd realised earlier when thinking there were 25 lines). But then, I'm a mathematician, and they don't do numbers

You wait until after you have a bairn. Any brain cells you ever had will disappear into a sludgy pile of festering mush. I should know, I've done it twice - and it shows!

So that's where I went wrong! (That's my excuse anyway)

Reminds me of the story my health visitor told me to illustrate this from when she was pregnant. She had washed out some milk bottles and jam jars and put them away in their respective places, or so she thought, until the milkman knocked on the door and asked her what she expected him to do with the row of jam jars lined up neatly outside the door :D
