Surrealism Crossword
Is it me or do the answers to the clues have more letters than are needed in the crossword!?!?!?
Re: Surrealism Crossword
I got that on a couple of them too. Still looking. One could be a three letter word, but that was found after 12 pages of a google search.
Re: Surrealism Crossword
I have a few that I am convinced are too long.

Re: Surrealism Crossword
Most of my answers seem to have 4 letters (with the exception of one!)

I don't think any of mine fit in, even the 2 with 3 letters

Re: Surrealism Crossword
Just like to say that this is impossible - I feel a lot better now!!
Re: Surrealism Crossword
I doubt that it is impossible, but it probably needs us to take our brain out and put it back the other way round.

Re: Surrealism Crossword
I took mine out and I've put it in a jar of vinegar.
Re: Surrealism Crossword
I have an extra on my book shelf you can use http://roxannewong.webs.com/apps/photos ... 395&prev=3 as you can see, it's a bit mixed up too.

Re: Surrealism Crossword
Do you fancy loaning it out to me? I'm sure a plastic one would be more productive than my real one at the moment!!

Re: Surrealism Crossword
It has been drawn to my attention that an important piece of information has been inadvertently* omitted from this puzzle which may help people who are struggling.
The answers to the clues are in alphabetical order of their solutions.
And to pre-empt those people just dropping by to say "well, I knew that already!", yes, I'm sure you did
(*yes, it was a mistake, not deliberate. Honest.)

All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Re: Surrealism Crossword
What about people dropping by to say, "well that doesn't help very much" ?
Re: Surrealism Crossword
The rather odd answers I have do seem to be in alphaorder, but I can't speak for the even odder ones I don't have.
Re: Surrealism Crossword
You know I had wondered that at one point when I noticed the answers I had were in order. Then I forgot it again. Still at least it helps to confirm one that I wasn't sure about, and to indicate that at least one other is wrong.

Did you know that a general sense of crossness can develop into a massive vendetta, don't you?Scurra wrote:

Can develop? I'd assumed we were well past that pointBunnylump wrote:Did you know that a general sense of crossness can develop into a massive vendetta, don't you?

Re: Surrealism Crossword
Has anyone got any bright ideas as to what we're meant to do as far as editing the answers to make them fit? I've just spent another few HOURS trying to do it without success.

This is threatening to turm me into a gibbering mumbling wreck.
