I'll be interested to hear if you do decide to read either of those.
My go to books for easy reading are Georgette Heyer novels but I have read loads of those over many years most of them more than once and a few several times!

Ah, I'll look into that too, thanks! Someone lent me The Lies You Told by Harriet Tyce. Couldn't put it down and read the whole thing in two days!
