I'd be messing with Excel trickery to highlight the differences but this looks like it's designed to do most of the work for you.... and you have people 'on call' who use it. Perfect situation.

Re: HELP!!!!!! IT Advice needed
Urgent help needed. Despite my better judgement I investigated Windows Live messenger on behalf of OH so he could talk to his brother.
I have just read messages from an unknown to my sister in laws brother in law.!!!!! So far removed from us its not real. I want this OFF my machine yesterday- but as ever there is no get out button.
Can anybody help?

Can you restore your machine to a point before the thingy was installed? (Make it forget it was there) I'm probably talking rubbish.

unless you do have a restore point set to b4 you installed it...

Yeah, a restore point may be far better than attempting to uninstall it. For some reason, Microsoft are completely rubbish at uninstalling their own software from within Windows...

Re: HELP!!!!!! IT Advice needed
I've got window's vista (as it came on the laptop-ie not updated by the update disc that came with it).
I'd thought about restore but before I do that will it really help? It seems to me that it's not a problem unless I sign into hotmail to check my emails. Call me daft if you want to but I cant help but think that even if I restore and then sign into hotmail I'm going to be faced with the same problem. I haven't actually downloaded anything- all I did was accept an invitation from Brother in law. Now I seem to be signed in like it or not- and there is no button to get rid of it. I've changed my profile to no contacts whatsoever but they are still there. Does that make sense?

and search on remove contact
