OK I fully deserved that!
Of course you're special, Laura, you know we all love you really!

I didn't ask the toolbars to appear and I don't download things. (Wouldn't know how for a start) and if it says it wants to update something I don't let it.
I use google all the time, it's my homepage, but I don't want a blasted strip at the top of the screen.
Whoever it was that has lost their box did you hit one of the f keys by accident. I once lost mine by doing that. I can't remember which one I had to hit to get it to come back. (I think MBH found it for me, well someone on DVP did)
edit: f11 makes things disappear and come back. Try that.

Well done my long-necked friend

Nice to see my knowlege still floating around out there in cyber-space.
[I know you either had to look it up or (more likely) TRY IT - but you knew it could be done... that's the important part]

I was fiddling around trying to work out if there was a way to make the google toolbar disappear more permanently and it said "fullscreen f11" so I tried it to see if it was what I had just been trying to describe.
