Hmmm. A bit later than that this year... But it still applies.

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU Eirian!! Hope you have a fabulous day. It's good being 21, isn't it? I've done it lots of times now, and it just keeps getting better.

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

Thanks, Eirian, for spending your special birthday with us yesterday
Sorry you forgot to pack the rest of your birthday cake in the car when you left - all that luscious chocolate fudge cake still sitting here in its tin
Even Scurra doesn't have any room left in his bag to squeeze some in....... hmmmm...... can't let it go to waste......

thank you all for your best wishes. This birthday was definitely one I hadn't been looking forward to (21 for the 20th time), but we had a nice quiet family gathering - made all the better for there being 6 of us this year.
Sorry about the forgotten cake Wulf, I'm sure it won't have time to go stale! It was a v.nice cake - home made chocolate fudge with lots of extra chocolate!.

We're not all as good at maths as you...... this only means that people may not have noted that the first time of 21 was celebrated once at the time and then 19 times since then..... - hence the special birthday this time.....

LOL - missed that interpretation entirely

I'm still classing her as a 'young lady'
My Mam was
"21 and a bit" all the way through my childhood. I'm not sure how old I was when I finally asked how big the 'bit' was.
But - as was said elsewhere:

my mum was always telling us she was 21 then one time she was in the doctors (and my brother was sitting with her) and the doctor asked her age - when she told the doctor, my brother turned around and said no she's actually 21.
