OK all you stressed people...

#1 Post by Bunnylump » Fri Jan 28, 2011 1:33 pm

Try this. It's really good. :D

I'm fully intending to do this again at 5pm each day (before the telly goes on and I have to start rushing around cooking and horrible things like that). If anyone would like to join me, please do. :D

I read the first part as 10 minutes of mindless meditation - and I thought I do that for hours at work some days anyway!

I might try the meditation and thinking of the three good things that have happened today.

I can't really do the good deeds at the moment :D and the letter-writing thing scares me because I can't think of who I would write to.

I'm actually feeling very unstressed at the moment. I watched the British Comedy Awards last Saturday, and was so delighted that Miranda Hart won three awards that I have spent all my free time this week watching clips and reading articles on the internet. I have also been re-reading Marianne Keyes. The consequence is that I am feeling very cheery (to the point where I keep grinning like an idiot at something I have remembered) but have very achey cheek muscles.

I do have a tendency for developing these obsessions with people, where I suddenly decide I really like them, and have to try to find every programme they've ever made, and read every article they've ever written, or have been written about them.

Project for the weekend: watch all of 'Not Going Out' on the internet.

Oh, I'm not doing all the letter writing etc (although I have made a point of making staff recommendations for good work from my staff (and Janet won the Champagne at Christmas because of it!! :D )

It was the video bit with the meditation exercise I was referring to. Obviously I was so chilled out after doing it I didn't make myself clear... 8-)

10 mins meditation today is not going to help me. Letter writing -maybe but they wont be thanking anyone.

As most of you know, I'm having a rewire and a new kitchen. I've had no kitchen since Wednesday, Today I had the rewire- sort of!!
Eletricians left at 3.30. I ate and had a cuppa and then it was starting to get dark. The upstairs lights that were working at 3.30 weren't anymore so I thought I'd just tackle downstairs instead. Then the downstairs sockets went to the same place as the upstairs lights. And before anyone asks its not from the main board.

The good news is I'm probably going to have a candlelit bath- I honestly dont think I've done that before. Usually too busy to do anything other than get clean.

Gill I'll send you my new accpuncture mediation mat (more soothing than it sounds) So I do the 10mins of meditation a day, haven't time to do the letter writing thing, but do the acts of random kindness by not kill OH and colleague every day. Colleague has gone off for 6-8 weeks for an op she only told us about last week, giving no time to cover her with anyone but me. I spent today sorting out the shelves over her desk with stuff going back to 2008     Going off to MEDITATE NOW
I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

We once had a power cut Gill while I was in the bath (whole road). OH was in Japan and I was home alone with baby K and lying there in the bath when the power went. I got out to get a candle and the doorbell went. It was all the neighbours to check if I was ok, and I was stood there at the door dressed in nothing but a damp towel!

Forget the meditation- shouting is much more effective, gets results and I feel so much better for having done it

I've just turned away electrician #3, hot on the heels of # 2-because #1 fixed it :D

I know its Friay evening but if companies want to give out a brochure with everyone's mobile numbers on- from the worker to the director- then they have to be prepared for someone like me to ring them all until I get someone to pick up the answer phone message and ring me back. I have sworn blind to each of the electricians that turned up I will say they fixed the problem. And I will- I just dont have a very good memory
