:D :D Happy Birthday, my friend. Hope you've been having a lovely day and that they are spoiling you rotten (even if you ended up going to a wedding for it... ) Looking forward to virtual cake when you get back...

Thanks everyone for all the greetings. I did indeed have a great day as we went to the wedding of my husband's nephew. The day started fairly early as we needed to be on the road by 9.30 to get to Exeter for the ceremony. Afterwards the reception was held at Kia Ora gardens near Cullompton. They are wonderful gardens and, of course, the weather turned beautiful just in time for us to take full advantage. Our nephew is called Charles, Charlie for short, and in trying to explain who I was to some of the other guests I went a long way round and eventually ended up saying "I'm Charlie's Aunt"! ( which may go over the heads of some of you but I'm hoping some will see the funny side of that! And no, I'm not from Brazil ;) )
So I spent most of my birthday afternoon and evening eating, drinking and dancing and then we stayed the night at Exeter University before coming home this morning.
I opened all my presents and cards when we got home today so my birthday has extended itself. And it sort-of started on Thursday evening when we went up to London to meet my daughter on her way down here and the four of us had a Japanese meal out in town.
I like long birthdays. :D

What great day! Here are my belated birthday wishes (again) - we had a busy day on Saturday with church garden party and a quiz - also enjoying the glorious Devon sunshine, which must have been lovely for the wedding.
