 That's exactly what I figured :D One part stubbon and headstrong and the other half with a mental body image that says "I'm about the same size as a Rottweiler" ;) Good luck.

He will grow up and become exactly what you make him. I'm sure he'll be a very well loved little guy with a great life ahead of him. Don't worry about or RELY on the timid nature - he is busy learning about life. Give him a hug from me ;)

Sounds like you have a new and already much loved member of the family, fraggle! Enjoy him! :D

You might also need that burglar alarm though.

I think he'd probably just lick a burglar to death  He had his injection today and was micro-chipped - he squeaked rather loudly and i held him. I thought i was going to faint

...Pink Day (yes, I know we were a day early). All the kids wore something pink - I'm currently in a pink top and a slightly clashing pink cardigan, with pink nails. Last night I made a massive batch of red velvet cakes which I iced pink and put a cherry in the middle to make them look like boobs. (For those of you who have no idea what I'm on about, Pink Day is to raise funds for the breast cancer campaign.) Lots of others (including kids) made cakes too, so the CoPE group (with our help) ran a lunchtime cake sale. The queue was going round the quad!! Anyway, the kids were great and had lots of fun, and we raised LOADS of money for a good cause. Of course, this meant I worked through lunch AGAIN (yes, folks, another ten hour day) but it was worth it. :D

...To the Odney Club in Cookham with my friend Jill and her brother, Keith. Keith is a partner of John Lewis, and therefore can visit Odney for lunch and to use the facilities there. Odney - well the stately home part - was John Lewis' home. It is set in extensive grounds and is next to the River Thames. We had lunch there and had a walk (nice sunny day!) We could see Cliveden House up on the hill in the trees. It was pretty with all the autumn colours, and our walk went past Kenneth Grahame's house (as in the author of Wind in the Willows). He was apparently inspired to write the book based on his childhood experience of living in the countryside by the river there.

So, nice day out. :D I could get used to this not working malarkey!! :D

.....actually last night this happened. I had printed out some of the puzzles and decided to be efficient and staple pages together. But stapler ran out of staples and while putting more in and closing it I managed to staple my thumb!! I finished stapling the pages, drank some tea and then went and confessed to my husband who laughed. Finding a pair of pliers he pulled it out, still laughing.
Thumb has now recovered but now looks like a vampire bite. Quite appropriate I thought for Halloween.

  Industrial injury? I think you should sue Scurra, myself...

...I've bin
into London with K to meet Dibble. Went for a nice Mexican meal, then to the Saatchi Gallery, which certainly had some interesting works in it, not least the room filled full of used sump oil which reflects the ceiling!

... having lunch with the girls at The Malt Shovel (this will mean something to some of you!)

Then unpacking the mega parcels of fabric for panto costumes.

Well, it's MY idea of a good day :D

Sounds good to me, Dramaticat!! The most exciting thing I did today was to spend £28 on posh (apparently award winning) sausages   for a firework party we're having on Sunday!! I have also made an industrial vatful of home made carrot and cardomom soup, and am also going to do some butternut squash and leek soup. Then it's just jacket potatoes and some chutney to worry about*! :D

We're having the fireworks at Mum's house because then we can burn some of the stuff we need to get rid of at the same time, but back here for warmth and somewhere nice to sit. :D

*Don't know what's come over me. I haven't been doing much real cooking lately, but this week I've made loads - including (dare I mention it?) my Christmas cake. :D I'm wondering if I can get away with not putting all the yuk on the top of it (can't be bothered to eat icing or marzipan - it's too sweet) but I expect I'd get complaints from the others...

Tempting, I must say. After all, I am a bit of an expert on fireworks after the Firework Factory puzzle ages ago!!

Anyone up for gate-crashing a party on Sunday night? Sounds like good food on offer, and there could be some spectacular fireworks - if contents of a garage are ignited!!

Have a brill evening Bunny - we'll be there in spirit!!!

sounds like a good evening planned there, Bunny!

... having a wonderful day walking round Rivington Pike, followed by an evening at the Bridgewater Hall watching The Sixteen perform Brahms Requiem with Wulf and dad. :-D

P is singing the Brahms Requiem tomorrow in Bracknell (well, as they say, someone's got to). I, though, am going to a firework display :D

I'm glad you enjoyed that. I remember visiting the Saatchi Gallery some years ago and being blown away by some of the amazing exhibits (converted me to these way-out modern artists :o ). But I also especially remember the oil room and the wonderful reflections it created - very different :D
