Ah! Thank you all for all your lovely messages and good wishes! :D
I've had a great birthday so far - it's been going on for a few days now - I went out with my girl friends for lunch on Friday, had family round (and a lovely cake made by my daughter) on Saturday, and I'm out for a meal tonight! :D

LOTS of lovely presents and cards - clothes, shoes, handbag, bath stuff, jewellery and perfume!
Some how the word got out at work and lots of the kids have wished me happy birthday, and one class sang to me!
How's THAT for being spoiled rotten? :D

(And I even got one very special card with a purple rabbit on the front from a kind forum member! :D )

Fab, thanks. And it's still continuing. Another friend just turned up and got me a cd - Eva Cassidy - Songbird, which I'm listening to now. It's lovely - I've got "Autumn Leaves" on as we speak.

Oh yes, and e-chocolates from Scurra. Non-fattening! :D See- he can be nice sometimes. Grumpy old curmudeon? Well, yes, most of the time. But today he's quite human. Probably until he reads this message!

You don't get the satisfaction of eating them though.

I've just remembered something:

If you're 'twins' then isn't it your birthday too MBH?!

Oh, no. See MBH and I are very sensible twins. We have two birthdays. I'll be able to share his when that comes round again. We are twin metal oxen just in case you're wondering.

I adopted her a couple of years back - there's something in it as we were both typing PMs to each other at exactly the same time just after 1am this morning. Uncanny :)

As puzzlers, she's brilliant but has gaping big 'blind spots' - I fill in the gaps without laughing at her (what else is a brother for? - hang on.... don't answer that Kingsley  )
