:D Sounds good. I'm in Newcastle Library at the moment and just come across this which has a very nice map for the lovers of bridges ;)

http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/Hadrians ... ridges.pdf

In the tiny picture you can spot the shape of Jesmond Dene which gives an idea of the general area.

No word from the tin dog following my text :( Working perhaps - or did he say he was out of the area???

Do I take it from the silence on the subject that it will just be the three of us eating out on Friday night? Or are others waiting to decide after they get a bunnycall when we arrive?

I think the tin dog had something on in London this week didn't he?

Edit - make that Aus - but London today/tomorrow - just re-read his post earlier on in this thread.

He was at Sydney Airport yesterday (according to facebook), so he should have landed this morning.

Oh Gill, you are having a time of it! My car is due back from the repairers on Monday and I will be very glad to see it hopefully without a concave back end.

Its getting worse by the hour. This one does and doesn't involve me. My daughter and grandson have just jumped on a plane to Cork because Dan's other grandad is on life support and they plan to switch it off tomorrow evening if he doesn't respond before then.

Please whoever you are just half a bucket of sh*t tomorrow. :(

Had a really lovely day. Walked miles. I had no idea Newcastle was so beautiful especially this morning down by the river. MBH had written a really good puzzle trail for us and we got nearly all the right answers. He met us again at the end of the trail which probably prevented a lot of cheating! We nearly lost the tin dog to a Dr who convention, and were very tempted to join a group of pirates who were hanging out in a pub.
Anyway three cheers for Spiderman who had put a lot of effort into arranging everything.

Hip-hip

The laugh (for me) was that when I tried to book up a small area at the Copthorne Hotel for us to meet and disect the puzzle, I couldn't because there was a "Doctors Convention" on.... Not quite what I fouund there  Some very inventive costumed fans (including one lady in all-over yellow make-up, yellow dress, and empty fish finger boxes pinned to her

It's been lovely seeing the gang, and our escapees back to Durham missed a decent meal at the world buffet place.

[How long are you in Durham? When do you go home? You missed out on gifts]

...HOORAY! :D
Had a lovely day today, great to meet up with the gang again. As Giraffe said, the puzzle trail was brilliant fun (even if my brother had me perched on top of a stone sphere sculpture as part of it!) There were some fabulous views along the river and some WONDERFUL bridges...the sun largely shone for us and the puzzle was really ingenious. :D We also had a chance to have a wander round the city, have some serious bubble wrap action (don't ask) and have just got back from a really good buffet style meal. :D

With many thanks to MBH for all his hard work and organising (lovely to see you!) and to Mrs MBH for the lovely surprise present. :D

My social secretary, chauffeur and I are considering a trip to the sea tomorrow before we head back home.

I think I've seen everything now. I have just watched Bunnylump hold a Revel chocolate up to her ear in an effort to tell if it was coffee or orange flavour.

Now she's making us guess what wine type is in the bottle she's about to open using a similar method!

I'm only quoting this so that if the Bunny uses some sort of blackmail to get LAT to remove her post, it'll still be here.

Hey, don't knock the fish custard.

You can't say that. That's like saying "don't think about pink elephants."
