Kickstarter News

#1 Post by Wulfruna » Tue Jul 05, 2016 1:36 am

Exciting to get an update from Kickstarter that the "Snark" is definitely on the way. :D . It is indeed an encouraging confirmation that we now have to send a postal address - hooray!
Information suggests that the artwork is the main thing that has taken longer than expected, but should be worth waiting for. ;) I hear that the production team has been doing a fantastic job of puzzle re-testing and updating to make sure everything works for a new audience.... We'll just have to be patient a tiny bit longer to get the result.
Keep up the good work :D

Does this mean we'll we'll all soon be legitimately snarky?

Yep, SparkOut, you can finally have the perfect excuse for your Snarkiness. Is there a verb "to Snark"? If there isn't, there should be. I have copies to give to my brood who are coming here today (yes, they did all pledge!) so it'll be interesting to see what they make of it all! :D They profess to be "quite excited!"

I think one of the best things about this book is that there is a much bigger range of difficulty of puzzle. So something for everyone. Scurra's worked SO hard on this, he's done a fantastic job. :D

I think it's definitely something to snark about!
Just the right thing to offer to people who would not normally attempt Puzzlebrains challenges, but can use this to work from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Let's hope it attracts them in. :D
Well done to the 'management team' who have nursed this through the whole Kickstarter process to produce a result beyond the original concept.
And congratulations above all to Scurra who has done a fantastic job on re-vamping the original puzzles along with producing a mini-set of new ones as well as the additional "normal" ones. Real hard work!
I can vouch for the fact that he is now spending a much deserved holiday in glorious Devon...........

OK, so thanks to all of you wonderful people, The Puzzle-Hunting of the Snark has been printed and sent out to everyone who backed the Kickstarter and made it a reality.
And, thanks to you, we've also got some copies left over. Well, more than some, to be honest. :)

So, as a one-time offer to forum members, we are giving people here the opportunity to purchase one or two copies of the book for £5 (plus UK p&p which is going to be £2.) I think Bunnylump would be really glad if you took us up on this offer as otherwise those boxes are going to be blocking her hallway forever...

If you are interested, please drop Bunnylump or Scurra a PM (preferably Bunny though!) and we'll endeavour to sort you out.

Once again, thank you for all your support. Now, I'd better get back to finishing off the next issue of Puzzlebrains itself!
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".
