That is a fine point. As, indeed, are all the ones on those claws and that beak...

Pine martens are so pretty! When we were on Corfu, we had an apartment with a balcony in an olive grove. When the family were out swimming one evening, and I was reading on the balcony, I could hear something scrabbling about in the roof. I was rather concerned that it might be rats or something unpleasant...UNTIL a pretty little pine marten face peered over the tiles at to get a good look at me! :) :) It was wildlife central there, as I recall, skops owls "beep - boop"ing and wild tortoises tramping around!

We saw red squirrels in Scotland and also in the Lake District - they are so much prettier and a lot smaller than the greys, aren't they?
