#1 Post by chazzie » Fri Nov 24, 2017 8:43 pm

Purchased this puzzle book a little while ago.....and have been working through the puzzles on my own - although it is aimed for more people.....You have to get around having a lovely looking book and ripping out pages......but I have loved this book...and have found the final solution today.....May be one for Christmas presents for puzzle solving bods!!

Oh goodness, not sure I could rip pages out of a book! :o   Although I was given a book called "Wreck this journal" where you have to do things like make holes in the pages with a pencil, rip pages out, deliberately put coffee cups down on pages and leave rings...I was fairly traumatised!

I'm with you Bunny, I cringe whenever I see someone opening a book and bending back the spine, even a rubbish paperback "holiday read" type book.

Quick note that the sequel to this is now on Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/al ... -this-book

Unfortunately, the shipping costs to the UK are horrendous. :(
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

I got both of these now.
I can't get started. Maybe by 2027 I could get a chance to look into it.
Unfortunately, I can't get past ripping out pages to get the initial puzzle done.

I had that issue with one of those boxed Exit games, but got over it by photocopying bits and then reassembling them. :D

Well - I have made a start on the Conjuror's Almanaq - and solved one of the chapters - "psychokinesis" - and making a little bit of progress on "displacement" - not having to tear any pages out yet - so may appeal to more people...
