They certainly were! I suppose I ought to understand the geology of them, but I don't. But they certainly were VERY lumpy (technical term).
CW, you haven't missed much!

A condensed version for those of you who can't be bothered to sieve through the dross is:
Harrogate - walking - falling off cliff - beer- more beer- chocolate - no sleep.
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.
“Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it yet.”

A few years back I very nearly bought a house in Glencoe. But didn't

Well, I can certainly see why you'd prefer to buy a pile of chicken poo to live in instead of a house here...

It is indeed - when you can see it - what a fabulous day
I remember driving through Glencoe once when the rain and mist were so thick that we could barely see the road just in front - with a few vague looming dark shapes suggesting that there might perhaps be some mountains out there

Mind you, I had the same in Dorset. We drove RIGHT past the Hardy Monument and didn't see it...

Oh the joys of British holidays.

I drove past a local hill on Saturday in low clouds and rain, and it was like someone had dug it up and taken it away! Most weird.

Glad you had fun, Clvrlad.
Why do you want a tan? The sun makes you all wrinkly. Look at me.

(I do go very brown if I can be bothered, which makes me stupidly complacent about the sun. I should know better.)

I tend to bleach in the sun.
Though this year I am about as brown as I ever get, just by gardening for an hour or so, two or three times a week.
Maybe my annual bath is due. Or it could be rust.

OK, I know this is all just waffly drivel, not spell checked or grammar checked, basically a stream of consciousness splurged onto the page. I also know that there in nothing even remotely interesting or unusual about my holiday, but since I've typed it for myself I thought I'd also stick it here for a couple of days. Be warned - long, irrelevant and quite probably boring!
SINCE EDITED.

Just in case you didn't believe me about the sheep on the roof...

(that's not the cottage roof, it's the roof of the barn next to the cottage).
