Re: 1st Puzzlebrains meet/4th DVP meet
I am planning on turning up in disguise. As me. Since no-one could possibly confuse me with Scurra the Evil Jester.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

How would he know where to turn up? Just head for Reading and find the noisy bit?

That's probably not too far out.

I'll vouch for that...... he's just a big softy reallyScurra wrote: Since no-one could possibly confuse me with Scurra the Evil Jester.
So perhaps we can try to persuade him to return to the gentle Jester image?
Though come to think of it...you might recognise him if he turns up bouncing on a stick

He may find he has a problem with that. But you'll find out about that soon enough

Nah, I reckon it's the first clue for you MBH. But I do think South Africa's a bit extreme while they all go to the pub...

Especially if everyone else has gone to South America instead...

Or even South America.
If the chap from Reading was heading for South Africa, he'd definitely be a long way off course if he arrived in New York!

Just checking you were all awake.
What's the matter with you both? It began with an A didn't it?

I think you keep forgetting that Cenwulf and I are both members of the Pedantry Society.
(Well, actually, that may not be true. I think I joined the Association of Nit-Pickers and he joined the Pernickety Club, but they were both subsumed, along with Carpers' Anonymous, in a recent merger.)

Now that explains a lot.
I'm a fully paid up member of the "Slapdash, Looking Averagely Good" club. You two would HATE that one, wouldn't you?

Re: 1st Puzzlebrains meet/4th DVP meet
Supersleuth and her son have prepared a great treasure hunt for the saturday afternoon. It is both challenging and interesting. There are also all sorts of board games to have a go at. Then later there will be a Mystery evening curtesy of the Jester. On the Sunday we are planning a visit to Basildon Park which is a National Trust property and we have also prepared a simple treasure hunt to do there for those who wish to try it. Don't forget to bring membership cards if you are a NT member. Our cards will get three others in free in any case. Oh and wet weather gear if it looks like the sun isn't going to shine.
Anyone else considering joining us for all or part of the weekend?
Re: 1st Puzzlebrains meet/4th DVP meet
That might be better phrased as "Then later there will be mystery Evening courtesy of the Jester"... in that the mystery is what it is going to be, not that it is a Mystery as such. If that makes any sense to anyone.LAT wrote:Then later there will be a Mystery evening courtesy of the Jester.
