Phew! I think it is back to normal. The lady at bt must have sorted it out for me.

Gill, I tried the desktop in the other room which isn't wireless, (big yellow wire running from the PC to the internet box thingy) so I don't think it was a problem being wireless. The lady from BT said the problem was on the connection between her and the box, not between the box and the laptop. Thanks for the suggestion though!

What a wonderful, musical bunch we've got. Glad the exam went well, and best of luck for the results :)

What level exam are we looking at here?

Happy anniversary

Just grade 3 for this one! We have a grade 3 flute on Friday too (Lally) so I have to go through it all again. I'm sure it's far more traumatic being a parent at exam time than actually taking the exam.

Yeah, I get stressed when I have to talk too. You've probably all noticed that about me. ;)

...Today I've bin

having what came to be known as "Super Wednesday". Some bright spark booked in the whole of year 9 and the whole of year 10 (that's about 360 kids) to take the same GCSE science module on the same day. The hall and gym only accommodate half that number! We ended up having to do them in shifts, and have barriers of teachers funnelling the ones who had done the exam away from the ones who hadn't yet in silence (so they couldn't tell each other answers). I had 24 pupils needing exam access arrangements (and no fewer than THREE pupils who had broken arms) in 10 different rooms covered with all of my staff (8 of them plus 5 invigilators), some of whom had to "leg it" from one exam to the next. It could have been an absolute disaster, but amazingly all of my bit worked with military precision!! :D >smug< What a relief!!

AND - what a lovely surprise - my boss bought me a big bunch of flowers to say well done for all the arrangements, and 2 of my colleagues had clubbed together and bought me some beautiful earrings and a necklace to thank me for helping them out. I was nearly moved to tears. Wasn't that a great day? :D

Apologies if I seem to have spent a few pages waffling on about how great my life is. I promise return to my normal grumpy self very soon.

Wow - what a nightmare    You certainly deserve the 'thank-yous' and from now on should be dubbed "Superbunny"

  I like the sound of that!! (Although I've got this funny feeling that Scurra would prefer Mrs. Boingybott).

I've just picked Lally up from gym practice and on the way back there were rabbits everywhere. It must be just that time of evening when they all come out.

What really took me by surprise though was a pair of owls sat at the side of the road! They looked like they were waiting to cross. I thought they were a rock as they were sitting completely still, but as I approached one jumped a bit back from the edge and the other turned his head and looked at me. The gym is in the countryside and it is two miles from the front gate to the buildings, so there are often a few rabbits or the odd rat, but tonight was exceptional.

Bunny, I'm not surprised you managed to sort it all out - it sounds a sight easier than some of Scurra's logic puzzles to me!!!!! You've obviously been well trained! :D

Giraffe!!! Wow - owls? I've never seen owls in this country! I've heard them, of course, but never seen one (well, apart from in captivity). How fantastic! :D

Something that I thought was an owl flew across in front of the car last week or the week before when I went to fetch her, but I wasn't certain, but these two were sat so still and so close to the car (I must have passed within inches of them) that they were definitely owls. They were bigger than I thought owls were, about 18 inches tall.

Congratulations Bunnylump on a puzzle well solved.... this is the sort of thing I was thinking of when I started that thread on DVP about 'puzzles in real life'. :)

We live about 10-miles out of the city, and had the pleasure one evening of a lovely white owl flying alongside the car as I drove home. Wonderful sight. [Lots of different owls around of all sizes - I don't know enough to guess what Giraffe's were]

Well done bunny, you really can't be a pisces with all these logical and organisational skills.
