Even worse around 25, by 30 they've usually almost disappeared and then they start to come back but have multiplied

Edit: Thats my mother's take on her grand-daughter and great grandson.

See my edit LAT. 25 as a mother wasn't a problem and 32 is even better. Look at it from grandma's point of view. Double the trouble and reduced energy to boot

Belated congratulations from me too. They say being a granny is great - all of the pleasure and less of the stress than first time round.

I think 78 is the worst age. My mum is worse that all 3 of mine (23,19 and 13) put together, as she has has 78 years to perfect emotional blackmail.

I probably shouldn't use that term lightly, because it is an awful affliction. But I'm sure you know what I mean. We just get the kids to be all independent, and then our parents start to play up!! Im looking forward to giving my two a really hard time in about 30 years' time!!

Well, I've been left in charge of the grandparents this week, while my mum and dad are away, and (touch wood), they're actually behaving themselves. The three of them went through a phase when, every time my parents went away, one of them got themselves in hospital!

I wrote:Or, considering she's the daughter of Leah, how about Helen? (That's Greek mythology.)
I've had my knuckles rapped by Xeno and Issachar for getting my mythologies mixed up. :(
In Greek mythology, Helen was actually the daughter of Leda, and in the Old Testament, Leah's daughter was Dinah!

Carmen... I hope she hasn't been saddled with Eileen as a middle name.... ;)

Her middle name is Ellis - a wordplay on her mum and dad's initials L S! 8-)
