Now did I say anywhere that boys couldn't knit? No. It's just the thread title says "of no interest to you boys"!!!
Actually, my son can knit. Although he'd never admit that now (not cool now!!).
Loved the animation, MBH!! My mum used to be a keen knitter. I remember her commenting that she was knitting a jumper all the way through the screening of the first Apollo mission to send a man to the moon. She was disgusted at the fact that they got to the moon quicker than she'd finished a jumper!!

I can knit too, but any baby would be about 20 by the time I finished anything!!

I have a jumper that I started for Lally when she was a baby, or possibly before she was born. She'll be 10 in July. Maybe I'll finish it one day.

I'm finally beginning to build up a picture of this "mystery man".
1. He hops about on a stick.
2. He has a cat (but has carefully neglected to tell us what he's called it. I suspect "pussykins" or something equally embarassing).
3. He knits.
4. He wants to join the honorary girls club.
5. He is nocturnal (just about).
6. He wants to put a knitted horse head in his sister's bed.
Well, nobody could say he doesn't sound different...

I can't wait to meet him. He sounds really odd.
Oh. Wait...
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

I can vouch for the nocturnal habits - definitely an owl and not a lark.... However, he's only admitted to being happy to watch other people knit - whoever they are (don't mention buttons to him though...

)
Anyway, having just paid a parental visit to his pussy cat I can vouch for the fact that she does indeed have a name. She responded with promptness and enthusiasm every time I called her: "Psssst"
And it's ok Eirian - I saw no signs of a horse while I was there, stuffed or otherwise

.
However.... going back right to the beginning, I will have another look at the knitting patterns I have and see what might be worth sharing. I'll send a PM.

Oh what have I started with this thread. Thank you for the offers they will greatly received. I seem to remember that we tried to help Thomas to knit on the other thread and so I should not have snub all you lads in the title of the thread.
I can beat your 10 year jumper with my mum knitting bootees for my eldest (now 23) still waiting for them.
Love you all cheered me up no end with this thread
