  There you go. Sorted.

I suppose I ought to go and get something to wear for my daughter's. That's on Thursday. Urgh, you can think of me going through the same torture, Giraffe, this weekend. And I am sure I could give you a run for your money on the size stakes. Maybe you could just tell me where you got yours from and I'll just go and order the same thing. Lilac sounds just right for me...

The hardest part for me will be convincing my OH into a suit. I keep telling him I think men in suits are sexy, but he says I would think a man in a binbag would be sexy, so that trick didn't work!!

...depends where he cuts the breathing holes! or does he just put the bag over his head?
There's no point in having a last minute if you don't use it!

Tried it on, and OH declared it just the job! :D

Tried my cream shoes on and they no longer fit me. I'm sure I wore them to my brother in law's wedding when I was expecting Kingsley and my feet were horribly swollen that day. Perhaps leather shrinks if unworn for 10 years, They only ever come out for weddings. Looks like I need to go shoe shopping. :o

You must lead a very nice life if there's only one thing worse than that :)

Shopping is worse than most things. I'd rather go to the dentist and that's saying something!

Sorry Scurra, I realise this is a very girly and trivial thread, and of course there are far worse things than shopping. Part of the problem is that I don't like spending money on such trivial things, particularly when they don't have the desired effect.

Oh I do! When we go stay with my sister, she and my mum spend hours in M&S, and me, my dad, and my brother-in-law go take refuge in the book shop across the road!!! A much more pleasant waste of money!

I'm another member of the none shoppers club.

The odd thing is my daughter shops like there is no tomorrow but wants to take home all the cheapies I have in my wardrobe.

Two trips per year to Dunnes and I can set myself up no problem. :D

I've still got stuff in my wardrobe which is about 15 years old. If you wait long enough it comes back into fashion!!

and I have to say, SHOE SHOPPING. I have to take an Anadin BEFORE I go because I just know what's coming. :x I think I'd rather go to the dentist as well. But then I do have a very gorgeous dentist...

Shoe shopping I try to do in Greece or Spain. Half the price and twice as comfortable. Only problem is we dont go very often

I have to confess I have UNWORN things in my wardrobe that could be 20 years old. I buy something and OH says " Is that for wearing, or hanging?"

I tell you, having to buy clothes for maternity wear was a nightmare. I'm definitely one of the hating clothes shopping group. Of course, I've now realised that I can still not get into my pre-pregnancy clothes and am having to wear my winter maternity trousers still... no way I'm going to buy yet more larger size clothes that I know I won't need soon. Oh, and of course I can only wear about half my tops as well (had a nice selection of baggy tops that are now not quite so baggy!).
Mind you, my aversion to shopping does seem to stop when it comes to Thomas - I seem to be spending hours on ebay buying things he won't even be wearing for ages!

Oh and fashion? what's that? (in fact I find that if anything I have becomes fashionable, I stop wearing it!)
