Oh yes, mine does that. But it's the leaping out at me on her hind feet with her front paws in the air and her eyes all wide and scary which finishes it off perfectly!! She also has this wierd thing where she "bounces" on all four paws sideways with her back arched and her tail curled and then runs away.

I have managed to lure the little scrap out and persuaded her to have a few mouthfuls of food. But she seems to like being under the dresser as after wandering around for a couple of minutes she disappears back under again.

Oh they are much more confident now thanks. They race all over the house and fight each other. And then fall asleep curled up together.

Anyone down south willing to cat-mind 2 persians for approx a month? They need collected from S. Croydon, and "passports" obtained, then shipped to Malaga. Passports involve injections and certificates from a vet and there is an intervening period between having the first and obtaining the second. Obviously all expenses up front.

If anyone is even remotely interested in helping out- no commitment - PM me please.

So much fun to have two, who can play together and be company - but looks as if they might be hard to tell apart!

What adorable kittens - they are abslutely georgeous. I got Olly whe he was three, after Willow my forst cat died at the age of 18. I got him from the cat protection league and had to have a home visit to see if we were suitable people to give a cat a home. Enjoy them both

we also had two kittens and they were real company for each other. Although when we went on our honeymoon (and were having the central heating fitted while away) my friends who were feeding the kittens couldn't find one of them but could hear him. You've guessed it. He had been nailed under the floorboards. We still have the bent screwdriver that my friends used to rescue him. Thank goodness they did - and he lived to the ripe old age of 22 - not bad. I think he lost one of his nine lives then.

We had one who got into the attic space, scrambled across to the neighbour's roof and then slipped down through a space into the area below ( a sort of chimney space). We could hear him mewing through the wall above our head - but next door! It took hours to track down how to get at him and even longer to manage to grab him and haul him out!

Not to mention another time when he went missing for three days until we happened to spot him sitting in the top window of an empty house across the back that was being renovated. He must have slipped in while the workmen were there - and then they went off for a long weekend! My husband managed to find a loose window and broke into the house to rescue him (ssshhh, don't tell the police...)

You have now reminded me of when we moved house when the kittens were still young onto a new estate our other kitten went missing for six weeks. He turned up in a neighbouring town after we put in advert in the mercury and they some good samarton phoned us. My husband nipped out at 5 in the morning with a box of munchies and managed to coax him. manhandled him to the local newsagent who obligingly locked him in his back room and went home for a carry cage. You see the world is still full of heros. (we think flint must have jumped into the back of one of the builders vans)


Another weird and bizare fact that happened with the cats is that I was pregnant with our first child and the cats were fine - around 12 weeks they avoided me like the plague - wouldn't come near. Unfortunatley I had a rare problem in that although I had a baby the placenta had turned into a cancer and from that point onwards the baby had a problem. We didn;t find out until i was about 20 weeks and i was very ill, with kidney shutdown, high blood pressure and yes I lost her at 21 weeks but how come the cats knew so much earlier. I have had three children since and they have not reacted like this again. Aren't they amazing creatures.

The animal world can sure teach us somethings.

There was a woman on the news a while back whose dog kept licking her in an unusual place and acting weird and it turned out there was a cancer in that spot that she didn't know about.

we have a lot to learn from the animal world - i think we have lost touch with that intuitative side of ourselves.

Wow, incredible stories. Animals do seem to have an extra sense sometimes.
