I do like Radiohead. And in general. I am really enjoying this. But I must say that Thom York can't sing live, can he?? :?

No :) It's not a tremendously good performance IMO.

I agree it wasn't great. But some of the other stuff that came afterwards was good.

Bloc Party wasn't bad, earlier on.

Do you know, in all my misspent youth (and trust me it was SERIOUSLY misspent) I never once went to a music festival. I feel like I've missed out somewhere along the line...

I never went to a festival either. I did go to a couple of the free concerts in Hyde Park though but no overnights were involved.

I don't think I would ever stand up again if I slept in a tent. :(

Don't mind the music side of it at all, as long as I can sleep in a proper bed. My bones are far too creaky to survive sleeping rough.

Since I forgot this thread was here, this is a repost from the song game because it didn't belong there.

These are the 2009 International Barbershop chorus champions. Make sure you watch all the way though.

...

And here's an equally atypical Barbershop Quartet. But at least there are four of them this time...

Oh, Scurra. Fancy posting something in the wrong place. I would never do that. :D

Sorry, clvrlad, that should be removed to the "gobsmacked" thread.

And here's some more of that Quartet. If you didn't see the last one, watch this one first.

(And then see part two, which was also linked earlier, but this is better quality

To be fair - I actually got that one into the Song Title Chain game officially under the title of Don't Bring Sulu

It took ages for the opportunity to show up, after I found the clip sorting some stupid travellers iPod out for him

Thank you for bringing that to my attention - brilliant!

I listen to all kinds of music. And like Scurra, I am prepared to sit through unknown stuff of varying quality in the hope of finding something really special that I would never have come across otherwise. I discovered many of my favourites from shows like Late Junction and Mixing It (on BBC Radio 3) or while listening to the sainted John Peel. And I subscribe to magazines of new music like Songlines and Unknown Public.

I'm watching Transatlantic Sessions on BBC4. It's fabulous. Excellent for relaxing on a Friday night after another hideous week!! I'd recommend it!! It's wonderful to see people playing things like fiddles, accordians, bagpipes, double bass, guitars etc. and so clearly enjoying what they are doing. :D
