I just checked out East Anglia, Gt Yarmouth. £223 for a 3 nt weekend (Friday, saturday sunday night) sleeps 6. Discount for group booking + discount via my account. Not sure how much my discount is but its at least 10% - I thik its 15 but I can find out if there is interest. Bear in mind that will probably be divisible by 3 or 4 at most but still a good deal for 3 nights. At least one room will have a double bed, maybe 2. One will be a twin.

I don't think so Clvrlad. Hazel's testing the water in several ponds I think.

Not set in stone, but since I don't know when most other people can make it (or if they want to come) I think I give up. This is far too difficult to do anything about. I give in.

OK.
I definitely can't do June 26/27 or July 17/18. I think other weekends I can rearrange anything already booked.
On holiday Sept 11th to 18th.

We have more chance of getting a cheap cottage or caravan in the autumn rather than the summer when kids are on holiday but we can't do anything until we fix a weekend and then an approximate location.

Has anyone asked Brian if he's wanting to bring his caravan?

I texted Brian last week, just to say hello and could he pop in here and say hello. I've had no response. :( Has anyone else heard from him?

I'm now down to
half term weekdays Tuesday 1st June - 4th June
weekends:
June 19th (Giraffe can't do)
July 10th (Giraffe away then)
August 7th (Giraffe can't do)
18th Sept (Looby away then)
23rd Sept

or summer holidays 3-6th or 9 -11th August (weekdays)

I don't normally work on Fridays, so I could probably do most of them (apart from 13th, 20th and 27th Aug.) I may also be able to get another weekday off as long as it's not in the exam period and I have enough notice.

I am planning to try to meet up with LAT at some point in the summer for lunch and then a walk or something -if all else fails we could publish our date and anyone else who could make it could come along! Oh and I'm dragging Scurra out some time too...unless he can think of a good enough excuse...

Sorry I didn't mean to cause havoc.
Clients of OH have invited us out and I had been assured it was midweek, but it turns out it is a weekend.

I can normally be fairly flexible (honest) but weekends are disappearing at an alarming rate.

I can do half term, but it is approaching at an alarming rate!

It's just one of those things. I've been every bit as unavailable! Can't see this working, really. I would have tried to organise something, but there's no way I'm going to start booking places which I could end up having to pay for if people can't make it!! ;) If I had been organising something here then I would have been more prepared to say "anyone who is around come along on this date" but I just can't do that. Cottages / hotels is a whole different ball game unless people are completely committed and definite.

I would hasten to add that if anyone wants to get together on dates I'm not available, just go for it. Also, if anyone's near me and would like to meet for a coffee or something then that would be lovely. ;) Just as long as you're not a mad axe murderer.
