Well, I can tell you how I do it. But then I always get told off by Scurra because that way makes them take up more space. Or something like that. So I'll tell you how I do it and then hopefully that will prompt someone else to tell you how to do it PROPERLY.

1. I open up the picture on my computer.

2. I right click, then choose "open with" and then "paint"

3. That brings it up in Paint instead. When I do it, it's enormous. So then I click on "view", then "zoom out" until I can see the whole thing on the page.

4. Click back on "home" then "resize". I'm doing this on the picture of the folded cranes as I do it so I know I'm not missing a step out.

5. Make sure the button which says "by percentage" is clicked, then swipe over the "horizontal" "100 and type in, say 20. This should also automatically change the "vertical" to the same number.

6. Click OK.

7. Save it as a new file name.

Oh, and Giraffe, you just use the same cord that you plug it in with to charge it up. Just use the USB end rather than the plug. If you've got one like that I'm sure someone (ahem) on here could help you out.

EDIT There were pictures of folded cranes here for Looby. I have now removed them to save space.

I just open with Microsoft picture manager instead of Paint. Then click on Edit pictures.
There is a button that says compress pictures and it has three choices - documents, web pages and emails. I pick the web pages one. Then I save it with a different name so I still have the original version.

And damn! I was in the middle of uploading some of my pictures when for some reason the web page updated to show Bunny's message so I lost what I was doing!

Must get on now, maybe later.

Odd. No other sockets or gaps?

What make and model of phone is it? (For the record we won't believe the answer Kodak Box Brownie.)

There is a hole for the headphones and a hole about half the size of the headphones in the side. It is a Samsung Galaxy.

Best I could do - we couldn't really get high enough above it
I could have trimmed the picture but then you wouldn't see how big the lettering was

Thanks, Looby. The letters (in case folk don't realise) were about 7 or 8 feet high. There were several very curious people trying to read it as they passed on the front high above. And I think that Looby and I didn't do our backs any favours in the making of it!! (We're obviously less fit than LAT.) And boy, that water was FLIPPING COLD.

Also, for those who weren't there, the reason there is a photo of me sitting on a sculpture is that it was part of the puzzle trail!

Can't you take the top of the lead out of the bit that has the plug in it?

Also, you could always bluetooth your photos (well, I believe so, but wouldn't have a clue how to do that!!

I don't know about that, I still feel dreadful!

I have a pic of the beach with a dog in the background - he looks tiny!

It is a Samsung Galaxy.
Good luck with that Zoe. Mine is in Oranges repair centre somewhere and has been for the last 3 weeks. Its only 6 months old. Its dialled 999 twice while I was in the middle of calls and turns itself off at will.

Anyway..... The hole you plug your charger into is the same hole you put the lead into to download your pics. You should have another lead with the same fitting at one end and a USB at the other end.

Hope that helps.

Giraffe, you might need to change the settings on your phone after you've plugged it in so that the computer can "see it" - on mine, I have to select "disc drive" on the settings first. But mine's an HTC.

Also, you might find that there are instructions for your phone on the internet. That would tell you how to do it.
