I've finally finished my game! :D It seemed such a good idea when I started making it(about a week ago). It's taken AGES. I had thought I might go mad and post it on here in case any other foolish people would like to have a go. Sadly I think it'd be too big to post (it's saved as WAV files) I think I'd probably kill Gill and Scurra's forum. I've made it all into a CD - linked intros, audio files of famous quotes from films, music from adverts. It should be quite a laugh. Maybe I'll save it just in case we all get to meet up at some point. :D ;)

That sounds fun! I'm sure you could save it somewhere and post a link to it...

I've just spent the last couple of hours solving a Rubik's 360 that I was given earlier as a Christmas present. :)

Ventured to the supermarket this morning. Coming back was a bit scary driving down the hill into our village slip sliding on snow and ice. Went to the village pub at lunch time only 6 customers!!! either everyone was staying in out of the cold or they had gone off christmas shopping.

Sigur has been out a couple of times in the car today - necessary unfortunately - and it wasn't fun. I'm thinking of risking breaking my ankle by walking, rather than driving, to the tram stop tomorrow morning as if I slip while walking, it's only my ankle, but if I slip while driving it could be a whole lot worse....

Anyway, today we've been dressing poor Thomas up in a santa outfit. Resisted getting one when I saw them earlier, unfortunately Sigur wasn't so restrained!

Ok, so you can't see either the snow (a good few inches), or the whole outfit, but this was the only pic we could persuade him to smile on!

Is it me - or is he keeping his fingers crossed that Santa will bring him lots of nice pressies?

That is SUCH a cute photo. :D Shame you didn't get it earlier - it would have made a great Christmas card, Eirian! :D Whatever you do, don't try to take him out in the buggy in the snow if it has double wheels - they just get stuck in snow. I had to help a lady who was struggling up a snowy slope with a double buggy today - the wheels just locked up, and it took her pulling and me pushing to get her back home!!

BTW folks - I'm running off a cd for Evilkeen. If anyone else wants one let me know and pm me with your address and I'll post them tomorrow.

I wouldn't be surprised. He is VERY strange. (Just frinstance he ran a sponsored 10k dressed in a kilt, walking boots, a pink tie and a sombrero. They hadn't been asked to dress up  ).

Travelling to Essex to see my Dad (which was really nice) My daughter showed him how to use one of those gadgets which you can transfer slides onto the pc, so we were having a laugh at pictures of me being about 8 and a half stone, playing guitar and looking like a hippy  . It's surprising just how tiring it is driving in these conditions though, isn't it? I'm absolutely exhausted now (and I was supposed to be going out to the pub with some girl friends tonight. )Can't cope with all this going out malarkey. I'll be glad when this bothersome season of goodwill is over and done with!! Bah humbug!

Well, this morning was spent trying to convince my grandad (aged 86 this week) that it was not a good idea to climb a ladder placed on ice, surrounded by snowfall and temperatures of minus 4, to change the lightbulb of the outside light. Needless to say, I was totally unsuccessful. He managed to change the bulb, and the fuse, without injuring himself though.

This afternoon I have been making meringues. They are in the oven for at least another half hour, so we'll see how they turn out later.

Mmmm. Were you inspired by Nigella last night with her pavlova? :D I've got a scrummy recipe for hazelnut and chestnut meringue which is all gooey and sticky. It's loverly. Sadly I can't eat things like that any more.

No, I watched a whole night of Victoria Wood last night. I was inspired by the fact that it is my Dad's birthday on Christmas eve, and it is traditional that my sisters and I cook the tea. Given that we've got Christmas Pud the next day, apple pies tomorrow, I was going for something a bit lighter in between. We're all at home this Christmas, so my mum has a full menu planned for every day so that she know's who's where and when, and what we're having, otherwise it gets very complicated!!

.... Trying to contain myself for another couple of days before our gorgeous treasure arrives... (no, not you, Eirian.....) Seeing his picture on here has reduced me to jelly :o  :o :D :D
Spent today icing the Christmas cake and clearing a space for the Joker's bed to fit into my workroom - and hoping the airbed doesn't spring a leak in the middle of the night, like the last one did!
