Hippo Birdy, chazzie. :D
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Lots better now thanks, I am short on stamina and my musculature has been dramatically reduced, as well as more than 2 inches from my waist. Apart from still tiring quickly, I am fit enough and back to work now for a couple of weeks.

Yes indeed - good to hear you are recovering. Hope it continues and you are back to full strength again soon.

Some people will do anything to be able to watch daytime TV.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, Sparkout.

I was feeling a bit jealous of the losing 2 inches from the waist.

I actually didn't watch any TV. I couldn't hold a book even, let alone read one. I managed very little more than logging on with my phone for a few minutes at a time. I certainly don't want to to get anything like it ever again. Believe me, it's not a pleasant alternative to a calorie controlled diet.

I do appreciate that! It sounds pretty horrible. So glad you are recovering now.

I must say, it did sound absolutely hideous. Did they ever work out what it actually was?

That is really rotten when it takes away mental energy as well and the days drag by.... so glad that things are improving and hope you will soon be back to strength.

The nearest description applied was "a flu-like virus" with "additional bacterial infections".
Thank you all for your very kind wishes, but I feel guilty that I have diverted this topic. I'm honestly lots better, please can we revert to birthday wishes now?
