I agree with bunny, the Transatlantic Sessions are well worth watching/listening to.

I'm all of a sudden really liking Elbow. No, not licking elbow, silly.
I found this on Youtube where they are playing with the the BBC Concert Orchestra and choir Chantage, and I think it's brilliant. So for no other reason than I enjoyed it I'm posting a link.

Well it's music. Sort of. It is deeply disturbing though. You have been warned.

OMG I've just found something funny on You Tube. This is a single my husband released in 1981 (he's the drummer). Someone somewhere has kept a copy and stuck it on here!!
The first one was supposedly the A side (School) which is hysterically dated. Although it does have some really good sax playing on it (they got the sax player from Level 42 to play for them). The B side, although very "of the era" is actually quite good. It's called "The Wiggle". The even funnier thing is I've also found a copy of the single for sale on a US website for £250!!

Make sure you stay for the punchline at the end too.

Sorry but I just had to continue my talking to myself about "Horace Bismire and the Developers" AKA my brother. I've just read some of the song titles, which include such classics as:
"Number 42 for guitar, strings and antelope in C major",
"Oily Rag" and
"Newt Song".
So you thought I was strange...

I like the sound of "Oily Rag" - especially if it IS ragtime

Yes, it is. As is "Glad Rag".
Also, "Stewart, hold the candle while I shave the chicken's lip" is a country style song, and
"Grimly Atonal" is exactly that.

Have you made a new year's resolution to be nice to me??

I suppose it's only like Mozart calling a piece 'Sonata in A major' or whatever. Well, perhaps not the chicken shaving one, but the others.
