Re: Happy Birthday
Happy birthday to my favourite jester! I do love you really, even if I have just been threatening to strangle you for your hints!
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

Re: Happy Birthday
Just been watching (well, yes, you can tell how great my social life is this evening!) some programme on channel 5 about hits from 1981. And feeling VERY old. So just because I have had to endure it, so should you.

Re: Happy Birthday
Oh, I was there then too, you know! Although only for 9 years.
I think the most depressing part is watching all the 1981 make up and clothes and remembering that I wore all of that stuff! Oh yes, the crimped, pillar box red hair, the Toyah make up, the ra ra skirts, fishnet tights, the lot. What must I have looked like? And I thought that Midge Ure was SO cool with his pointy side burns and misty home made video... All together now "Oh...Vienna!"

Re: Happy Birthday
I rather missed chunks of 1981 as we were in Hong Kong at the time and a large percentage of the music we got there was American. Despite HK being British at the time. New arrivals to the company N worked for did bring out some of the latest British stuff but there are definite gaps in my experience.
Now I'm enjoying channel 57 (71 on some tv's depending on tuning) which is all 60's music.
