Oh bums!!! I was hoping this inch or so of snow I now have was a passing cloud that was just dumping over my bit of Leeds. If you've got it too its not just a little cloud after all

Well done dramaticat.

Apparently (from facebook, friend going from Middlesborough to Huddersfield on train), it's as far north as Northallerton and west as far as Huddersfield, possibly further.

forecast here was for light snow this morning, but luckily we've not seen any. Mind you, it is v.cold outside (as attested to by my fingers when they got wet catching Thomas as he went down the slide at 100 miles an hour - that waterproof suit really flies when the slide is already wet).

Dramaticat - glad to hear you are off the crutches. Really good progress, but please take care!

Well done Dramaticat! Don't take any chances. The last thing you want is to go back to those things.

And all of you with that snow, SEND IT TO ME!!! I will gladly take ALL of it off your hands!

We heard on the travel news on Radio 2 this morning that the road between Ashbourne and Buxton had snow, so it has missed us by about 10 miles, phew. We're just awash with rain.

take care all of those that have the dreaded white stuff.

glad to hear you're making progress Dramaticat.

Good to have you up and about Dramaticat, now be carefull.

We had snow flurries yesterday at home (inland and up a hill) but just wet and miserable the closer you got to the coast. No big deal.

Spent part of the time last night (behind the bar at the cricket club) looking at Hetty Wainthropp's anagram clue puzzle and got a grand total of ONE!!!! I can't be this bad - it's ridiculous  :? :x

Today I have been having a clearout of my recipe books. I have 4 huge bags of books to take to the charity shop, and I still have my original Glasgow Cookery book , when I trained as a home economist, Delia,Jamie Oliver , Rick Stein, Genaro Contaldo and Antonio Carlucio as well as numerous Good Housekeeping books. :o :o Will I stop buying them - I doubt it - it just gives me an excuse to buy some more

At least I can indulge in some retail therapy over the internet :D

It took me a while to get going on that one, but once I'd found a couple, I started seeing them more easily. Keep at it!

Thanks to two 'straight word' pointers from my long necked friend, Hetty is progressing now BUT.... I had a lunch break, a computer, and my puzzle mag and ended up..... catching a fish :( Grrrrrrrrr

I'm guessing that the fish in question might have been a lovely scarlet colour?

Hah!!! I seem to have caught some interest with that comment, which means one of two things:-

1) There is a right way and a wrong way to do what I did - and everyone else chose the right way.

OR

2) I'm the first person to travel this path.
