Well, I have to say that didn't ring any bells (or steel pans) with me, I must say!

Went to the local garden centre today and saw a family I thought I recognised.

...Finally getting a call from my long lost son. He's been in the final throes of his degree and has just done his last exam. He's all chuffed because the professor told him he was going to get one of his papers published. I asked him which one, and he said "The one about cricket semen". Well now, folks, doesn't THAT sound interesting??? I bet you'll all be queuing up to read that one!!

You lot are BAD. I think my poor boy's been leading a rather disturbing existence for the past 6 months. In a dark room, analysing cricket sperm. Hey, whatever turns you on though, I suppose.

Despite prectising in a rigorous, orderly and strict menner, it is fery difficult to remember ven I am supposed to be doing ze German accent .. and when I need to switch to ze French accent for ze udder piece. Eet is vairy eezee to slip from von to ze other in ze middle.

Ve vill see vat heppens tomorrow. I know it vill be ze most fun audition I hef been to for a fery long time!

Best of luck with that, Dramaticat! I used to love 'Allo 'Allo. So brilliantly NON politically correct! "Now leesen very carefooly. I will say zees only vunce...!"

...I've mostly bin to a music festival at my daughter's school. Luckily it was a lovely sunny day! They were mostly youngish bands, some covers, some original stuff. The last band were actually really very good. They were called Tramp Etiquette.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlubcQKzFjE The local microbrewery had made some real ale for the occasion - called "Dunfest" - which was actually rather nice. :D

That sounds good fun Dramaticat. Hope the audition goes well. :D

I've been up to Bury St Edmunds this weekend for a wedding. It was a lovely wedding and I also had a bit of a trip down memory lane as I used to live in Bury when I was (a lot) younger so we also took a look at my old house, school etc. :D

The wedding cake was amazing. The bottom layer was a traditional iced fruit cake but above that were little cakes, various cheeses, fruit, sweets etc. It looked absolutely wonderful.

Leesten vairy cairfully, I shall sey zis only once - I got a part!

(Not the one I REALLY wanted, but this is going to be a fun show whatever you do in it!)

And the best part is, rehearsals don't start until the end of August, so three whole months of NOT HAVING COMMITMENTS!!!

There was too much competition for Yvette from my very beautiful and sexy friend Vanessa!

And I was rather worried when the director asked me to read for Rene's wife Edith! :o

And now, I shall disappear like a phantom into ze night ...

You can always come and see the show ;)

BTW it's in October, just in case anyone is interested and in the area. Further details are on our website http://www.riversideplayers.co.uk, although the online booking isn't open yet. And if you were to phone up for your tickets, you'd get to speak to me! How I seem to have got stuck as the 'regular' box office person is a tale for another time ...
