 I hope you haven't paid for it in advance, BB? Sounds a bit alarming.

No I didn't, well only the deposit, which I'll get back if the thing never turns up. I suppose.

However, Today I are (and Harry also) bin mostly playing Guitar Hero on the PS. I just cannot bellieve I didn't buy one of these years ago. TOP FUN. And all for £20 from the HMV bargain bucket. Can't get any better than that eh? :D :D

Cheers. BB.

The Guitar Hero genre is about the only genuinely new video game concept in years. And yet, when it comes down to it, it's really only just the old "Simon" game but with a bit of rhythm thrown in :)

Feeling relieved. My daughter got an offer from her LAST choice for uni next year. She wants to do a PGCE and of course now jobs are scarce all the world and his wife are applying for this. She's ALWAYS wanted to do it, but kept getting turned down. Which seems really unfair because she's done LOADS of voluntary work in schools and playgroups to gain experience. Anyway, as long as she gets a 2-2 then she's got a place at Middlesex University. Which might not be the most prestigious one in the world, but it's in a lovely old manor house set in a massive park. And she can commute there so she won't have to borrow even more money for accommodation. (I'll have to pay for her instead  ). I am really chuffed for her. One worry off the long list of worries! Phew! :D

BB I find guitar hero really difficult because I play the real guitar and it confuses me!!

Great news for your daughter Bunny. :D I bet you're all relieved.

I am ignoring the comments about guitar hero as I don't understand them

Well done for the young'un Sis :) Hope she gets all she wants out of it.

Never done the Guitar Hero (and it doesn't really appeal for some strange reason) but when I'm in London there are a couple of arcades where there is a 3-drum kit that works the same way - backing tunes with screen indicators of what to hit when. GREAT FUN :D

Is it like that game you used to see at fairs (maybe still do, only my kids no longer need me to take them these days!) where you have a mallet and have to bash the heads of creatures as they poke out of their holes?

And it's serious cool when a shop has the system set up properly with two guitars and the drum kit for a group to play Rock Band (or similar.) It gets really competitive at times...

Yeayyy - "Wack-a-Mole" (High-score at Whitley Bay arcades for years!!!!)

Scurra - that sounds good. Now I've got to develop "Trombone Hero" with a selection of Glen Miller tracks ;)

I are mostly bin, setting up a wireless print server on the colour printer in the living room. Now everyone in the house can print to it no matter where they are. Top job and a highly reccomended piece of technology.

Oh, and last night I think I got to the top boss last battle thingy on guitar hero III. Some kind of silly devil type dude. I mashed Tom Morello and Slash but couldn't beat this guy. But I'm going to try again after lunch I think. Talk about addicted. :D :D

But before that I MUSt get hold of Ab Fab Vol 3. Amazon I think. My local HMV just doesn't have it. For those that don't know, I collect classic BBC comedy DVDs. Sad, I know. ;)

Cheers. BB.
