Today I are totally bin .... NOT going to Brands Hatch for the first round of the British Superbike Championship. Why not? Because the forcast was for rain, and it's a 3 hour drive, which is a long way to go to get soaked. However, I'm sat watching it on the telly as I write this and guess what? Yes, they are racing in bright sunshine.

Poo to the weather man. That's what I say.

...out looking at garden furniture, fully aware that after 3 consecutive days of lovely sunshine this weekend was probably the summer!

We had a nice day today, but yesterday and the day before was gloomy and orrible.
 David (son, who's a bit like a 6 foot 4 puppy on speed) leapt onto our antiquated garden bench table and went right through both seat planks yesterday.

We sent a rotten one to the dump last week. It fell apart when we moved it last year and I was worried someone might sit on it. That was what we were trying to replace, but we saw some very nice patio tables and chairs, which would look nice on the newly cleaned patio. Came home to research on the internet, only to not find them as I think they were reduced because they were last years models.

My eldest just got back from Brighton. They had tried to go to Thorpe Park, having deliberately bought 4 big bottles of coke in order to get BOGOF tickets for the park. But when they got there it was FULL. Mind you, it's a pretty stupid day to go there, don't you think? Anyway, she decided to make her long suffering boyfriend drive to Brighton instead. They spent the day on the beach, and her OH got propositioned several times by the local gay men!!

I'm offline for a couple of days and it then takes an hour to read through what everyone else has been posting

Still no puzzling done, but on Saturday I've mostly bin... spending the Theatre Royal vouchers I got for my birthday and going to see 'Le Grande Cirque' http://www.legrandecirqueshow.com/

I had £30 in vouchers, and the best seat I could get was in the Grand Circle at £33.50 - far more than I'd ever spend on myself for a night out, but I love shows like this.

I've got to admit that the sexy dancing girls in Jester outfits DID raise mixed emotions :? but the clown who tied the show together (and owed a great debt to Charlie Chaplin) was excellent, there was audience participation (always good with Geordie crowd), and the acts were stunning.

Having played with the trapeeze and 'silk' work it increases the appreciation of what these people can do. I can't say I usually notice other men (as such) but some of the physiques of these guys come directly from the pages of the superhero comic books.

The lighting and music were stunning, and for a bit of culture there were a couple who presented the routine that starts 2-minutes into this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xI_olzX7Ycw

Great show - if you like seeing what the human body is capable of with sufficient skill and training, then it is a very good evening out. :D

Today I've mostly bin finishing off the game my sister bought me for my birthday. Its called 'The Longest Journey' and I've very much enjoyed it.

My sister and brother-in-law let me play on their copy when I went to visit them in Feb, and I've been nagging them ever since to hurry up and finish it so they could lend me it. They got fed up and bought me it. Now I've finished and they're still on chapter 5 of 13!!

I gave that to Wulfruna for a Christmas present because I enjoyed it so much myself.
