No - no snow. It was a surprisingly lovely afternoon.
She seems to have 3 names. Her pedigree, her every day name, and her racing name which was Bright Eyes.

Aren't you getting that confused with the names of Cats?

Yes, the decision was made a couple of weeks ago and I've been trying to get everything ready here at the house. Picking her up next weekend and I've got a couple of days off work to settle her In and watch for any problems.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Deciding my daughter is most definitely off her rocker. This being the girl who never has a penny to her own name and I'm not surprised anymore. She has just paid 165 euro for a Brabantia pedal bin and a flamin frog door stop for their new house. How can anyone justify that amount of money for a stinky bin and a frog? She can. How? The house came with contents, most of which she sold to the second hand man for a decent price and then she forced the door of a storage cupboard they didn't have a key for. She found in it 2 brand new mountain bikes! It could only happen to her

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Reading through 30 more job applications. This takes me HOURS because I want to do it properly and do them all justice. However, I am now totally brain dead.
Some were very promising, and people had obviously taken a long time to get them right. But some were, frankly, beyond belief. My particular favourite was one which simply stated, in font 16 bold
I AM ABLE TO COVER CALLSES AND HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A SUPPY TEACHER.
Wonderful.

Shortly before I left my last job a colleague (who was also being made redundant) told me he had heard of a company that divided all job applications into 2 piles then threw one lot into the bin. After all, you wouldn't want to employ someone who was naturally unlucky would you?

Well, they don't deserve the best people working for them if they are that stupid.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I've heard that before and was never sure if it was an 'urban legend'. Do we have anyone form 'Human Resources' to ask? I know the excuse is "We get 3000 applications for every job , it would take too long"" - which I think is a lousy excuse for not at least giving the application a quick look at past work experience and general layout of the 'profile' box. You probably can still discard half of them but they are the right half as in:
