OK so I'm bored. Does anyone know any good sites with puzzles that might be worth a try?

Has anyone else got a copy of Journal29 (interactive book game)?

Good. Poke me so as I actually open it sometime, won't you?
(Note that I have recently had two weeks off over Christmas and New Year and not even looked at the Christmas Puzzle, and now there are lots of other real life issues looming, so...)

I think the good thing with this one is that you can just dip in and out of it - some of the pages are diabolical, but some just literally take a minute to solve.

So would you recommend it?

Not that I've made much headway yet with your postcard puzzles!

On the whole, yes. Although I had to go on their forum for a few of them for hints because I wasn't making any progress!

Hmmm...if you do get this and try it, there is a mistake on page 42. The first one has the wrong symbols.

Today's Google Doodle is fabulous. (It's about using AI to compose in the style of Bach.)

OK so if you ever need to work out how long a journey might have taken you if you had been doing it in Roman times, this is the site for you. http://orbis.stanford.edu/

What is this "time" stuff? Why do you have so much of it to pass?

Is it like "money"? I have heard about that. I 'd like to experience it for real.

Very interesting! I looked up Bari to London - 36.8 days! I think I am glad that Ryan Air flew there in about 3 hours when we used to visit K.

What I am wondering though, is how/why you found that site in the first place!

Google "The Wizard of Oz".
Then click on the Ruby Slippers in the information block...
