Well really!
Having no clothes on would not cheer me up. Having just spent a couple of nights in a hotel where there are always far too many full length mirrors for comfort I have become much more aware than I would like to be of my shape.

Well, so am I but I've just hit on this marvellous method of buying the next size up.

Oh, and not looking in the mirror in the changing room until I have the clothes ON. Far less tragic. I have been known to go out of some changing rooms feeling suicidal.
That's where this post was meant to be.

The problem with comments like that is that it inevitably prompts responses like:
"Yes, the extra arm suits you" or
"What, like a parallelogram?"
It's a good job no-one on here would ever think of saying anything like that.

Oh I am fruit shaped. But I'm not saying which fruit.

I do actually have more than the average number of arms.

Only just.

(I'd love to know what the actual amount is - the mean must be pretty close to 2 though.)
Presumably that's how we all get to make those extra 0.73 posts a day...

Well that's a hard one to follow.
...At a gym competition with Lally. She did ok, especially on floor and beam. (Asymmetric bars and vault are just not her thing)
The funny thing was when we got home there was the most enormous hot air balloon over our house, so low that it only just cleared the houses opposite, and when it started burning the roar of the flame was quite loud!

I've never seen one with such a huge basket. (very wide)
I think it was this one, or it's identical twin.

Sorry, I'm glad to say it's gone. Not sure if it crash landed on the main road, or was just taking off from the cricket ground round the back of our house.

.... having a first proper look at Down The Tubes.
Very good on a glance through - things I think I should be able to do, and everything (as usual) with a twist
Feeling pleased with myself because I have managed my first puzzle without help and got the right answer first time
[OK - so anybody can do word-searches.... or can they?]
Very clever.

Trying to cut the front garden hedge with a hedge trimmer that doesn't stop when you take your hand off the button (good job it's cordless), gave up after an hour of swinging it around at head height, I should really leave the 6 foot hedge to the person who is 6 foot to cut, being only 5 foot I suppose, but by that time it will be nearer 7 foot.
Off on a tangent here any suggestions of how to get 7 people around a table designed for 4 next week for daughters confirmation lunch ?? Suggest OH makes me a table, but I fear it has fallen on deaf ears.

I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

Take a door off its hinges and rest it on top of said table for four?

Borrow a small folding table and put it up next to the other. Or have a buffet!

Daughter want 3 course lunch (menu decided on) Thank you for the suggestions, think the door one nearly got me thrown out as he has only just put new ones on and taken the old ones to the tip.

My friend has a huge family, when they have everyone for Christmas they swap the lounge and dining room over so that the bigger room has the table in. (Obviously I don't know if they are separate rooms in your case) I think then after the food the children disappear to different parts of the house and the adults enjoy the cosy lounge!
